One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in all South America. It offers comfy beds, great food, low cost and a nice pool. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. I would highly recommend it but make sure to get a room with AC as that makes it much easier to sleep. Great Hostel!

To sum it up: We planned to stay here for 3 nights... ended up staying for 8 (out of a packed 4 week itinerary). The 8/12 bed dorms were perfect temperature, as well as comfortable. We were fortunate with our many different room mates at the time, all were sociable yet okay with quiet/chill time if desired. The area felt safe with a supermarket nearby. The hostel is out of the center of town, which is actually a good thing. Why? Number one, all the main attractions of Santa Marta are actually not IN Santa Marta (Tayrona, Cuidad Perdida, Minca, etc..) so the location is not an issue. However, for those wanting to party, a taxi costs ~6000 (£1.50 / $1.70) to the center of town for 4 people anyway. However, the hostel staff are what made this the experience it was. Carlos stands out by far (as well as a few others, like Liam, who has now moved on). Beer pong tournaments, pool tournaments, pub quizzes and karaoke were all organised on various nights (12pm curfew, perfect time to head into the clubs in town). Would definitely return again.

Loved this hostel. Really helpful, friendly staff. Was in a mixed dorm of 4 (Thailand) and the room was spacious and comfy. There were lockers you could secure with your own lock and a fan and air con. Everything was clean. Free towels and bag storage for when you travel elsewhere and don't want to take your big bag. The common areas were great too, relaxing pool surrounded by hammocks, beds and mats. The hostel is very social, we joined in on a BBQ where we met other travellers and there was a party etc another night. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed staying here for a few nights. Was nice and spacious, nice big room and lockers, good price too. Lovely big pool and chill out areas in the garden-plenty of hammocks and mats to lie on. There was also a nice chill area upstairs with a table, coach area, big tv to watch Netflix and workstation. The kitchen was sizeable but lacked a lot of basic equipment and our room (fan only) got far too hot-was actually cooler in the garden (you could get AC room). Within walking distance to supermarket & the staff give lots of tips on trips etc. Good WiFi though you have to pay for the water. They also allowed us to store our luggage when doing the lost city trek. It was very clean too and the staff were always cleaning. Would be nice to have an area to hang your wet clothes and free water. They have a lot of activities organised like free salsa class one evening and free Spanish lesson. Would recommend , though it’s not in the centre of Santa Marta it didn’t matter.
