The grounds are everything you would expect from a colonial period hacienda. It was lovely. For the most part, the property offers very peaceful surroundings. The problem is that it seems like the property is on the flight line for the planes. There are limited rooms and I had room #1. It has a nice private balcony and a view...

We were on a three week tour of Colombia with a Canadian small-group tour company and stayed here three nights. Our room was off the courtyard and we thought it quite adequate until we saw the room one of our fellow travelers had. It only confirmed my theory that when on tour it's a room lottery, sometimes you win as...

The place has charm as in age and set up. The pool area is nice and the rooms are fine. However, when you book ask for second floor. You don't get much privacy at ground floor and you want windows open given the weather. And the food - try to eat elsewhere. The setting for dinner is great but the...

Pleasant welcome, spacious room and great building. Had a vibe that did take you back to days of old. Sorted shower when asked but good have done with a new head as opposed to a repair. Huge bed, very comfortable room with ceiling fan. Bar/restaurant staff certainly tried their best but it was at best haphazard and at times quite...

After staying at the wonderful Hacienda Bambusa in Colombia's coffee region, the contrast could not be greater. The welcome was perfunctory to say the least, (another boring customer), a hot stuffy room with no air conditioning, minimum bedside lighting, no mini bar or welcome water, a bath/ shower that couldn't make up its mind what it wanted to be, a...

Our party was made very welcome on our arrival and had identical suites on the first floor ( along the verandah ). Our rooms were very comfortable with splendidly large double beds. Fans but no aircon so we just threw caution to the winds and opened the windows. As it happened, the mozzies were clearly busy elsewhere and there was...

This is a lovely old hacienda. We had the principal suite, which was spacious. The shower had excellent water pressure. We found the staff friendly and helpful; however very little English is spoken by the staff and this made ordering breakfast difficult (no menu) We had to resort to google translate. The dinners are ok with large serves and an...

Our room was a large suite with old furniture, several cabinets and coffee table with several chairs. The room was comfortable even though it did not have a/c. There were 2 fans which circulated enough air at night to make the room comfortable. The tub was elevated on plaster feet and required two step riser to get in or out....

An absolutely delightful boutique hotel This is a restored coffee plantation house built in 1888. Still owned by the original family. Set in delightful gardens. Rooms have antique furniture and bathrooms are good, with a bath. Food is excellent and good for dinner and breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel Only downside is aircraft noise from...
