Great Location. Around the corner from a Metro stop, which was very convenient for the activity I booked meeting point. Lots of bars, restuarants, stores, ATM within walking distance. Some of the venues played the music loud and you can hear that and the metro passing by at times, but I was still able to sleep. I had a superior double room that was very clean, get small. But since I traveled solo, it wasn't bad. I didn't like that the room doors closed loudly. The lobby looked well kempt. The elevator ran smoothly, sometimes I didn't know I was moving. I didn't like that it took almost 2 weeks for someone to respond to the website contact form I filled out.

I spent a few nights there visiting and enjoying the city. The hotel is near the Metro Station Estadio and it is roughly 1,000 feet from "La Setenta", one of the nicest, friendliest, and fun areas of the city. Lots of restaurants nearby, shopping, supermarket is down the road, plenty of taxis and transportation access nearby. They are very strict on their check in times (3:00pm). The room are big and nice for a very reasonable price ($42 per night). The service was excellent, the breakfast was freshly prepared. If you go, make sure it is included in the price (Had a little snafu, but the manager fixed the discrepancy. Thank you, sir). The wi-fi was very good, the air conditioning excellent and the water in the room was hot. For the price, it is a nice place to stay.

There is no safe in the room (as mentioned on the room description on Expedia) only at the reception and full on the day of my arrival, so first 24 hours no safe ! Very noisy place, like read noisy even on the 8th floor, specially on weekends. Wifi working very intermittently and with very poor bandwidth. A shower with a slow drain and bad slope so the water in there never dries up. Noisy Air Condition unit to keep your noise pollution even when things quiet down on the street. Don’t expect a coffee station (even in what they call the suite) About the suite, manage your expectation it is nothin more then a little larger then average room with a king size bed. One lady at the reception (Laura) is extremely rude and condescendant with very unpleasant attitude. Don’t expect much english speaking staff (but this did not bother me I worked on my little Spanish) This place has potential to be something nice but for now the energy is overall very negative, it feels more like a public service formalities center than a hospitality business, forms and papers and signatures and restrictions. For the area, there are a lot of bars in the Area if you’re in for the night life (I was not) but don’t expect good for in the area if you like eating well. In brief, use this place as a last option, I found out at my expense that there are many better options for that price and I honestly don’t understand how the rating of this place is not much lower.

The hotel is quite good and has a great buffet breakfast service. It has an excellent location if you want to go to Medellín and you must be close to the stadium to attend concerts. It is also close to several food areas.

Excellent location. Near the me subway, commercial area, restaurants, drugstores and nightclubs
Well maintained rooms and common areas
Very clean and kindfull treatment of the personnel
The only flaw is the breakfast, it is not the best, they repeat the same bad menu, I just tasted the good cofee

The hotel is located in the night bar area and does not have any type of enclosure for this type of location. It is completely impossible to rest until 5 in the morning. I went to the bathroom to sleep because there was less noise there. Not recommended. Avoid at all costs.

The room, although small, was very well distributed, everything was impeccably clean. Excellent cleaning service. Very tasty meals, really very good. I highly recommend the Egina Medellín hotel because it has good service and a very good location in the city.

Stayed there for 3 nights in Aug. The quality of room is 4 stars US standards. Location is very good, 5 min walk from the metro station, and very short metro ride from all the attractions. Highly recommend the suite with the balcony, it costed just a little more than a regular room, but it was very impressive. Good cold AC, huge TV with a loot of English channels, fast free internet. Also 5 min walk from a major mall with a huge grocery store and big food court. Breakfast had limited choices, but had both hot and cold dishes. And very affordable. You can hardly book a motel in the US for the price I payed for the suit with a balcony here. Highly recommend!

i usually stay at the dorado when in laureles, but someone recommended the engina, so i tried it. i will be brief, as i have done a more thorough google review that can be looked at if desired. the size of the rooms do not compare to comparably priced ones at the dorado, they do not have premium tv channels like hbo, and their breakfast is not very good. they tried to give me a smaller room than initially agreed on, then tried to upcharge me for the one i had already requested. because of some of these tbings, i asked to leave and be refunded my money for unused days. they refused to do this, and would not capitulate. they essentially made me stay there against my will, unless i wanted to eat the entire bill. they also mafe me pay in advance gor everything, even though i preferred to pay night by night. very bad business practice snd philosophy. i strongly recommend other acommodations.

As far as I know there is no airport taxi pick up available from the hotel. The taxi fare should be around $ COP 40,000 pesos. Make sure you agree the fare with the driver before you travel. Gordon
