In a location with the charm and tranquility of the country, you will find the Hotel Dann Carlton Belfort. We enjoy an elegant ten year old hotel that is newly renovated in order to offer our guests the best of everything in a new and more modern setting. Located strategically in El Poblado, we are only a few blocks from the exclusive Parque Lleras and Parque de Poblado areas. These are two areas not to be missed while you are in town and want to enjoy fine dining, entertainment and easy access to shopping malls, business centers and all that Medellin has to offer.

We stayed three nights in the Hotel Dann Carlton Belfort and enjoyed our stay. Our very first experience related to my husband's newly sprained ankle and the need for an Ace bandage. We were trying to get to a pharmacy and the hotel bellman suggested that we have it delivered instead. He took care of calling the pharmacy and requesting the item since our Spanish was limited. We had the item in hand less than 30 minutes later for less than $8 including a delivery fee and tip. We were thrilled with the extra service.
Back to the hotel itself, it was very elegant with large flower arrangements in the lobby and a lovely pool and outdoor courtyard for the restaurant. The room was clean and large and the view from the room was a decent city view. The location was close to many bars and restaurants. We did have two different drivers think we were at the "other" Dann Carlton but since it's only 5 minutes away, it was no big deal.
Breakfast was included with our room and was a wonderful buffet of fruit, breads, French Toast and Colombian specialties in addition to an omelet station.
I'd recommend it.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 6 days. The suite rooms were clean, appropriately furnished with very comfortable beds. They are, a bit dated with limited outlets for those traveling with multiple electronic devices. Bring longer cables. Breakfast was excellent with several choices which would change daily. We stayed for dinner several nights and the staff could not have been more pleasant. Service was very good and the menu had good selections. The staff was most accommodating and always with a smile. The pool was refreshing and the hot tub open until early evening. We had no issues with taxi service - if there were no free cabs, staff called for one. The area was quiet and we are looking forward to going back to Medellin. We will not hesitate on booking this hotel again.

The hotel remodeled the rooms and it shows, they are spacious and clean. At night we realized that we couldn't fit, and after a while we called, they came to give us an additional bed. The food is very delicious, and the service is very good. We recently stayed at this hotel, which had really good reviews and a great location and had no issues with the service, room or parking. We had only a few snacks (2 bags of peanuts) $20.00 and 1 bottle of water (evian) $35.00. The moment of check out we find out we are charged for room service (breakfast delivery) $70 Total of $170.000 pesos to our surprise it was the most expensive water and bag of peanuts! This goes by “breakfast” being included in our stay. so please, beware of anything you consume in the minibar in your room and any food delivery. OUTRAGEOUS!!!

Completely disappointed. We traveled to other hotels and compared all the prices- even some of the hotels we stayed in Guatape resort style hotels and in Manizales & Armenia they all had printed prices of the mini bar and those prices don’t even compared to the Dan Carlton Belford.

Google If you are single or you have friends I do not recommend staying in this hotel. I arrived with my date and her friend and we sat in the room for an hour. The receptionist Pablo behaved rudely, disrespectfully, and with threats and demanded that I pay more money. According to him, you are not allowed to bring your guests to the room, even for five minutes.

This hotel sits on a hill but overlooks other buildings. Although there is some charm in its dark wood, and a buffet breakfast is provided, this hotel is mostly tired and not living up to its potential. There is, e.g., an outdoor party area which is allowed to host noisy drunken parties with live music that disturb the sleep not only of the hotel's guets well past 3am, but also that of nearby residents who have the misfortune of being near this hotel. The rooms are decent sized but without modern touches. Thermostats are ancient and the room temperatures are uneven. When we were there the pool water, said to be heated, was tepid at best and the jacuzzi or hot tub had no water in it. The inattention to hotel guests' basic needs (e.g., to sleep) makes this a "must miss" property. If you must stay in a Dann Carlton property there are better choices in Medellin.

The hotel is well located in a very quiet area to have a good rest. It also has very good customer service. It is a classic and luxurious hotel in Medellin, but it is definitely not a 5 star hotel. It lacks many things, starting with the fact that it does not have all the essential equipment in the bathrooms. There is no hair conditioner and body soap in small and bar form, there are no hairdryers and no beauty kit. In the gym there are no disinfection supplies and the air conditioners in the rooms are so old that they make a horrible noise and do not let you sleep. Every time it rains at night you hear the sound of the drain water running through the pipes in the ceiling of the rooms.

The staff wont warn you, any service will be a way to steal your money and laugh at you on check out : 80 US dollars for a five days laundry.
Very loud appartement with thin wooden doors separating your room with other customers hotel's rooms. Old bed with damaged mattress.

Where to begin? Twice I called from Panama to make sure a driver would be waiting for us at the airport. Natalia, the hotel's manager both times assured me I had nothing to worry about. We arrived at midnight with two other flights. There was no driver, and there were barely any taxis available. After an hour waiting we managed to catch a cab to the hotel. I did not have pesos, so I overpaid using dollars. As if this wasn't enough, this hotel has the worst and hardest mattresses ever. The floor was softer than the bed, I kid you not. The next morning, they said all beds are the same but they would place two feather covers under the sheet to soften it a bit. What a nightmare!! And of course, the third day I got a massage. It was so-so and they would not allow me to charge it to the room. What a horrible hotel! If you are thinking of staying there, and we did because of the convention my wife attended, I advice you not to. PS Natalia did not want to come to the front to explain why she never sent a driver. I hope she gets demoted.

Well located hotel, however very dilapidated, poorly maintained, machine in the gym broken, cleanliness leaving something to be desired. The only positive point is the quality breakfast. A big negative point is the abusive invoicing of laundry, some t-shirts and socks charged more than the price of new items!! After explaining my dissatisfaction the receptionist showed total disrespect.
