This is a great hotel which nearly ticks all my box's for a good stay. We were able to walk to the Metro in about 10 minutes and on other trips taxis were available with ease and not expensive. Our room was very clean, had a really comfy bed, was very quiet and great shower. No coffee making facility in the room. The pool area was nice for some chilling time and there is a small gym . The majority of the staff are really lovely and helpful. The breakfast was ok, lots of fruit but the hot food was minimal and often some of the containers were left empty the whole time we were at breakfast. The reason for my 4 and not 5 star review was the staff at breakfast. The young girls just didnt apppear to want to do any work. They were reluctant to serve or get things that had run out ( and that was a lot as they didn't appear to fill anything up). Getting coffee was like a major issue and always someone elses job. They appeared to be allocated jobs and didnt want to do things if it wasnt their job.Tables were left uncleared for the whole time we were at breakfast. There didnt appear to be anyone in charge, making sure the staff were working. Its only this area though the rest of our stay was great.

I stayed at Hotel Estelar Square for three nights in September 2022. The hotel is located in the upper class area of Medellin, and is situated right next to an up scale shopping mall called Santa Fe, with 100s of shops and restaurants. I was impressed by almost all aspects of the hotel, from the classy pool and bar area on the roof with a stellar view of Medellin, to the quality of the rooms and the exceptional breakfast served. I paid about 75 USD per night for three nights which is amazing value in my opinion. Three points I would mention is the staff, the location and the TV. Staff: The staff could be a tiny bit more smiling and accommodating - it could be because they are nervous about speaking English - but a smile is always appreciated, and just makes the experience that much better. To be fair, some staff did smile, however that was mostly the female staff. Location: As the nearest metro station over 2 kilometers away, you need a taxi to get to and from the hotel, unless you’re up for walking a good distance - the area is quite safe. I walked from the Poblado metro station in the evening and felt safe at all times. Another point I want to mention is the TV package. Many of the channels are not available in the “current tv package”. As many other hotels, cheaper than this one have ESPN and the big movie channels, I would expect a hotel of this quality to have it as well. The rooms are really nice and clean, and have the common amenities, including mini bar. Laundry service and 24 hour room service is offered, which is a nice touch. All in all I was very satisfied and would probably stay here again should I come back to Medellin.

My husband and I booked into this hotel yesterday. We arrived at the hotel at 11am and were told they could not offer us an early check in due to hotel policy - I totally respect their 3pm check in policy however, we had travelled all night without a wink of sleep so the option of being able to check in early even if there was a cost involved would have been appreciated. The room we booked is a junior suite, there is a leak when the air con is turned on and the smell from the kitchen sink is absolutely unbearable. We have complained twice and they sent an engineer to look at it twice yet nothing has been done and the suite absolutely stinks of sewage! As if the smell isn’t bad enough, we cannot turn on the air con due to to the leak! Buffet breakfast options are average and there are 5 members of staff standing around chatting watching guests eating which feels very uncomfortable. It is very hard to communicate with staff at this hotel as their English is as bad as my bad Spanish which makes it very tricky and frustrating on both parts I’m sure. The location of this hotel is good however it’s hard to recommend given the issues we have experienced.

The hotel is ok, but not more then that. Disappointed with the cleaning. Some wrappers in the corridor, which are still there after 4 days. In my room there was a small plastic lid on the floor (i dropped it and left it), at the end of my stay (7 days), it was still in the same place on the floor. Then, if you want friendliness, a smile or something from the employees, go somewhere else. It was an exception when i got a smile (reception and Sky bar, impossible at the breakfast, there where a few). After a few days there was a note in the elevator (in spanish only) that you need to book breakfast and that you are not longer allowed to stay more then 40 min. And the gym is smaller then my bathroom. It has a bike, stepper, walker, some weights and one machine to train muscles.

The hotel management does not care about customer service. The place is nice but has poor service. They are not flexible at all, even though the bar was empty, they did not allow customers to be in the area but consumed their products, pool hours were not very flexible for tourists who were out during the day and if that were not enough, although they were When they requested hotel products, there was a long delay in responding to food orders.

An overall great hotel that is centrally located. Breakfast was very good and rooms were clean and nicely decorated. If you have a room on a high floor you get a great view of the city. One of the largest malls in the city is located 3 minute walk away. An overall great stay.

Let's hope there is no limit on the characters and I can finish my review. They say that when you go to a hotel the ideal is to be better than at home. So that's it. I must start by congratulating the Manager of this stellar hotel because he is making his guests feel at home. From our arrival, Omar (bellman) was extremely friendly, telling us where we could park and helping us with all our luggage: upon arrival and upon departure. Check in was quick and subtle. At breakfast time the next day, from the head of service Karina (who is doing an excellent job of guiding and training) to her work team, they were always attentive to our requests and comfort. To mention a few, the attention of Juan and Juan David when serving us hot drinks, always very friendly. Ana, Alexandra and Karen were also very attentive to ensuring that we had everything to have the perfect breakfast. When going up to the pool, Daimer (I hope I write it correctly) and Esteban were very eager to help us with the towels, the relevant indications of times and uses. Very friendly too. At the bar, Julieth, always attentive to making sure our order was on time. Overall a pleasant, friendly and warm stay. Everyone is very attentive, always with a smile from ear to ear to wish you a good day and also a good trip. Surely on a next trip to Medellín, we will be back in this nice and pleasant hotel.

We truly enjoyed our stay there, though the covid rules made it frustrating to use the facilities. The rooftop pool is amazing, but only open from 9am to 4pm. You also need to make an appointment to use it, and only for one hour.
The rooms were very spacious with all amenities necessary for a great stay. The breakfast was plentiful, though they do charge for water bottles. The front desk staff was very accommodating, and Alfonso was very professional and caring. I would definitely stay there again.

It is located in a somewhat secluded area, quiet and therefore quite silent. The welcome at the reception was a bit cold and distant. The room is decidedly small and the storage space is also limited. The bed is quite comfortable and there is a good choice of pillows. The room is quiet and this improves the quality of sleep. The wifi reception is pretty good throughout the hotel. There is no kettle and, consequently, no courtesy coffee or tea. In reality there isn't even courtesy water, which is rather strange for a hotel that wants to be high quality. If you want it is paid in the mini bar. On the top floor there is a fairly small gym, a nice outdoor terrace with a small swimming pool as a backdrop. The view you can enjoy from there (16th floor) is very beautiful. The breakfast does not allow a great choice, but it is of reasonable quality.
