Excellent location- lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Very safe. Nice entrance, not grand. Rooms generous in size. 2 double beds were comfortable. Lighting attractive but not good for reading. Bathroom good size, decent amenities, only 1 face cloth or 2- others said the same thing. Hot water was hot but water pressure in shower was very weak. Safe in room. Plenty of storage space. Limited English-language TV. Nice breakfast buffet but no custom egg dishes. Staff helpful but night staff spoke limited English. Pool & gym. Card key got you only to your floor or common areas.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel having booked a junior suit. The room on the 14th floor was, as the hotel, soulless with no charm whatsoever but very spacious. Too bad that the shower was in the bathtub. Ask for a room with an even number as the uneven numbers face the more noisy side, which to be honest was not a big problem for us. The breakfast buffet was quite nice, with lots of fresh fruit - the quality of the granola was bad and we were rather shocked that one had to pay extra for green tea. There is not a nice bar or relax area and the gym is tiny. The front desk was efficient and friendly as was housekeeping and the bellboy. The biggest drawback was the distance to the closest metro station which was a good 30 minutes away on foot. I highly recommend staying in the Poblado neighbourhood which has plenty of restaurants and shopping opportunities (not much sightseeing), but I would not choose this hotel again given to its lack of charm. By the way, a good alternative to using taxis is downloading the the app “BEAT”. Cheap and efficient even for rides to the airport.

Dear Mr. Stephan, We thank you for having chosen our hotel to stay and shared your experience with us. We apologize for not having met your expectations. Currently, the hotel is in a process of remodeling the common areas and rooms to offer a better atmosphere and service to our guests, that´s why our lobby is not open. We are going to check the quality of the granola and charge of some beverages in order to guarantee a better service to our guests. According to the distance to the metro station, it is not so far from the "Milla de Oro area" where the hotel and most important malls and business area are located, actually the metro offers a direct bus route to the metro for an integrated value. Reiterating our apologies and commitment to assist you again, we look forward to your return. Cordially, Olga Luz Sampedro S. Gerente General

During a 3 night stay in a Junior Suite it became clear that no one (from the top management on down) pays attention to the basics any hotel needs to provide. From the shower curtain partially off its hooks, to a wobbly table, to the towel bar about to fall off, to not replacing toilet paper when it ran out (we’ve never had that happen anywhere), to a room service dinner arriving without salt and pepper, to the maid inexplicably taking away one of our two robes, to the constant effort at breakfast to get coffee when you want it, and finally to the day and a half effort to get them to put a proper reading light near the bed (even the one desk clerk who spoke English agreed the lighting design was bad), it was clear that no one here really cares.

My family stayed 3 nights at this hotel and while we are not fans overall, this review is focused on the Christmas Dinner. At about COP 220,000 per person, this was the most expensive meal we had in Colombia by a large margin. Just for reference, we had dinner at the #1 Trip Advisor ranked fine dining restaurant in the city (La Provincia) with wine, appetizers and deserts for about 25% of the price. In any regular restaurant, you can probably eat for 10% of that. What you get for this exorbitant amount is bland food and no drinks. There wasn't a single dish on the buffet that stood out enough for us to go for seconds. All drinks, even a simple coke or bottles water are extra and alcoholic drinks are similarly ridiculously priced. I fully understand that you pay a premium to receive service on a day most people take off and there was mediocre life music, but this felt like tourists being taken advantage of. We spent New Year's in Cartagena, and there were tons of options on that "special day", again at a fraction of the price.

I stayed for three nights at the hotel, and everything worked pretty well. If I rate the hotel judging only the infrastructure it will only gets four stars, but when I take into consideration the quality of the food at the restaurant and more important the honesty and service of the staff it deserves five stars. This last item was specially important for us as we left a cellphone in one of the taxis we ride from the hotel and then the hotel staff did everything to get it back. After several efforts the taxi driver located the cellphone and return it successfully. Kudos to Carolina (the courteous girl who assists tourist with taxi services at the hotel) for walking the extra mile to help us.
