The Art hotel was our first taste of Colombia and Medellin and it was the perfect place to stay. Not only was it at a central location - if we were hungry there were multiple corner stores or casual dining spots at a walking distance, lively restaurants and bars, and it was also very close and well within the perimeter of pick up or meet up spots for tours we took. We only got to enjoy the breakfast buffet once, but when we did we enjoyed it. The look of the hotel is very modern. Our room and bathroom was spacious. We never really got to figure out the TV and the wifi wasn't the best but that could have been because we were on the very high floor. I would especially like to give a special shoutout to the staff at the front desk. They were always kind and helpful. Their recommendations always worked out for us and greatly assisted us with anything we needed, whether it was questions or advice. I would not hesitate to stay at the Art Hotel if I return to Medellin

The decor is simply gorgeous. The room was beautiful. The atmosphere/vibe is very chill and relax as well. It’s perfect if you are looking for something nice and calm. The room is super comfortable and the location couldn’t be more perfect.
My only advice would be to upgrade the TVs for more modern ones with Netflix and apps on it. It’s weird to have a luxury hotel with no Netflix in 2021.
Also, laundry is VERY expensive. Dry cleaning. Ask for prices before sending your clothes.

We have spent 2 nights in Medellín with our teanagers
At first I loved the Art Hotel, the design… felt like in NY… Waow
1st Disappointment: rooftop bar… worst Bloody Mary ever! No seasoning at all, just vodka and tomato juice
2nd Disappointment: NOISYYYYYY! OMG… I could here the client from next door room cough and speak on the phone as if he was in our room. He even put the loud speaker on his phone, and we could hear it.
Shower was noisy, bathroom door is noisy, minibar is so noisy we had to unplug it.
3rd Disappointment: breakfast is served until 10:30am. At 9:10am, there was no more bread!
4th Disappointment: last but not least, one of our room had a terrible horrible smell. We mentioned this to the guy at reception, nothing was done! No feedback was given to us.
For what we paid… the service did not meet the requirements. Not to mention the receptionist who said that 11:15 we could already go to the airport for our 3pm domestic flight. She said because of traffic!
We finally left at 1pm and were on time…
I personally do not recommend the Art Hotel in Medellín

Be aware of hidden costs in this hotel. $58USD for ordinary laundry of 4 T-shirts, a hoodie, shorts and 9 underwear is extortionate in Colombia or anywhere. I could have bought replacements for this cost. This would cost $5 in the laudraumat a block away. They should make the customer aware of the excessively cost when dropping the bag. The manager said the prices on some QR code in my room, but not on the laundry bag.

A very cool building, industrial, minimalist. The bed is comfortable. The breakfast was lovely. We went for drinks & considered dinner however the bar staff were so uninterested we left & went elsewhere. We decided to go back for a nightcap, the wifi wasn’t great so the menu was taking ages to download so we asked if they could help they shrugged & walked off. So again we didn’t buy a drink & left. It was a cool bar & just need some staff training about customer service, smile & be welcoming. The hotel would make so much more money

I loved this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious and the location was perfect.
I really loved the roof terrace where breakfast was served and it was a comfortable space to enjoy an evening cocktail and/or meal
All the staff were friendly and professional.
The front desk staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful I have ever come across, they really went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.
I would recommend this hotel and if I am (hopefully) ever back in Medellin, I would stay here again.

Went on a vacation with friends and didn’t enjoy this establishment. Was a big upcharge to have company in the room. About $50 usd which was ridiculous. Won’t recommend or stay her again my friends also who booked rooms was disappointed in this nonsense.

Very comfortable stay in a beautiful area of Medellin. The Up Garden was a great place to hang out (Breakfast was served there) and have a drink (loved the Natural Lemonade - so refreshing and that cup of coffee in the morning! Thank you for the staff for all their help during our stay!
