I had a great time visiting the wonderful city of Cartagena. I was very pleased with Hotel Agua's excelent level of service and high quality everything!! We arrived and were treated like royalty we lacked nothing. The wonderfully restored house felt like a home away from home. We loved all the attention to detail and character and charm that was...

we stayed for 5 days. 2 of which we went to the sister hotel in baru. let me start first with agua in cartagena. It was a very beautiful house. Upon entering, it seemed that their service, which they highly exault in reviews of themselves, was going to be just what we read in tripadvisor. It was not. We checked...

While the decor is beautiful, the hotel has some issues. One big problem is that the rooms are very small and common areas are not air conditioned. No one was using the beautiful sitting room or library because it was extremely hot! We stayed in our small room most of the time soaking up the A/C. They also lock you...

We spent five nights at this hotel in July 2010, on vacation. With only six rooms but plenty of staff you receive excellent attention and service. The rooftop is a star attraction, with a small pool, amazing views, and with a welcome breeze on hot afternoons. Breakfast is included and was tasty with ample choice. The level of attention to...

I just can adhere to all other compliments mentioned in previous reviews. Agua is one of the best places we have ever stayed. We wish to congratulate the owners and all the staff: they have created a real gem of a hotel. Hopefully we will be able to return soon.

We absolutely loved this very chic, small boutique hotel in the old city. The service is lovely, the design is inspired and it's a real gem. However, splurge for the bigger room--the small ones are dark and too cramped. The head concierge, a woman named Laura, was very helpful. We also stayed on Baru Island at their sister hotel--it was...

In a way, I don't want to post this review. This is such a fabulous hotel, I'd prefer to keep it a secret :^) Unless you're wowed by crowds, discos and casinos, you'll be knocked out by the Agua Hotel. You'll truly feel as if you're in your own fabulous, beautiful home, attended to by the nicest people around. Truly...

We stayed at for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. The hotel is perfect - every detail is a delight. The staff is exceptional. I mentioned it was my birthday and lo and behold a knock at our door and the porter brought a cake with lit candles! Along with forks and napkins. The staff anticipates your every wish-...

I just returned from Cartagena with my husband for a quick, long weekend getaway from New York and we had the great pleasure of staying at the Hotel Agua. It does exactly what, in my opinion, a high quality, boutique hotel should do - provide highly stylish atmosphere in keeping with its surroundings with a high level of personal service....
