Although people from service was smily and nice, our room was nothing compared with the photos of the rooms they post. Was ugly. Bathroom was awful, really small, cheap. There's no closet to put your belongings. There was no water in the freezer. Bed was ok, not uncomfortable. Not recommend if you have a baby or a toddler and need... More

Booked a room, which got ¨cancelled¨. I was given another room in terrible conditions, had to go to a hostel. Hotel was not at all as depicted in the site. The hotel declined to refund money even though they couldnt give me the room that had been booked.

Hotel Boutique Makondo is under renovations, lots of problems to solve right now. If you decided to be there, dont expect "boutique" , really, The spot is excellent to explore the old town, I fell safe to walk around even its nigth. Lots of good restaurant choices just around the corner (La Cevicheria, Juan Al Mar, Tabletai for an inexpensive... More

Amazing location in the heart of the historic town. Walking distance from a large number of restaurants and attractions. Rooms are ok. The bathroom was not totally clean when we entered, also we were missing towels and we waited for a couple of hours until they got them to our room. Minor details. You go to this hotel for the... The hotel is going to be nice. It appears they just took over a hotel that was thee previous and are redoing everything. The hotel is small but nice, they have the first floor completed but are working on the floors above. Our room was on the first floor and it was nice. Large and had a huge shower in... More

Lovely boutique hotel with great location. Thoughtful touches in décor and good personality. Kind service. Rooms are original and somehow small but quaint and well appointed, however they are terribly isolated. Did not sleep any of the three nights that was there, the first room I had at first seemed idyllic as it had a balcony with a view towards... More

It has a dismal style. It's scary. I've never seen a hotel turn off their lights after 23:00 or 24:00. When we arrived we wait for the charge is the best of the hotel, we turn on the lights to go up to the room. The worst thing is that if we lose we do in the dark for a... More

After having spent 10 days in colombia i can assure that the price is exceeding by far the level of the hotel. Small rooms, dirty, smell of mold. Furthermore there are 4 tables for breakfast so you have to queue... To avoid absolutely without any doubt.

This place was beautiful and at a great price. It is located next to one of the housed of Gabriel Garcia Marquez and surrounded by 3 great restaurants (La cevicheria, Argentina and Bocca Tratoria). It is in a calm area so you will be able to sleep and in walking distance from plazas and la muralla. We only spent a... More
