Staying at Santo Toribio was great. The drive from the airport to the wall city and the hotel is just seven minutes away. We arrived earlier than check in and Maria de Los Angeles and the male receptionist offered us water and offered us to leave our suitcases and use a bathroom to change into more comfortable clothes to start exploring the city. Thet gave us recomendations for restaurants and places to visit. Once we checked into our room we were delighted with the comfort and the cleanliness of the room. Ana the maid sure does a great job keeping the rooms spotless! Yordi the bellman brought our suitcases with great care. The room was very ample and well lighted. The bathroom had great space and the indoor garden gave it a touch of nature within the hotel. The roof terrace was a great spot for the evening breeze and the spa was a great place to end the night after walking the city. The pool is in the inside of the main floor courtyard making if a very quiet and relaxing spot to cool off after an afternoon nap. Each morning we were delighted with the food prepared by Eliana the cook and the variety of fruits in our plate! Kevin the waiter took our breakfast orders and was always ready to pour fresh coffee or orange juice The hotel is centrally located and you can pretty much walk to any where within the wall city. If you want to venture out, the staff at the front desk is very knowledgeable and can give you the names of tour operators or any service you may need. I highly recommend Hotel Santo Toribio. I can not wait to return.

We really enjoyed our four-night stay at Hotel Santo Toribio. At this price point it’s a great choice. The hotel staff was gracious and extremely welcoming, the rooms are VERY clean, and we enjoyed the breakfast (included in the stay) each morning (started with fresh fruit daily and we enjoyed scrambled eggs as a main). The interior courtyard is also so charming and well maintained. We would certainly stay here again.
At night, the attendant on staff was available to unlock the front gate upon our return from dinner, and we felt so safe. We stayed in a quiet room one floor beneath the courtyard level that was mostly quiet (occasionally could hear the staff working or some music from surrounding areas — but nothing outrageous and we slept very well).
The hotel is within the walled city, which is extremely walkable. We loved stepping out the front doors right into the action every day.

I booked a one night stay at a boutique hotel in getsemani. I later got a message from the hotel manager a day before check-in to say I’ve been upgraded to their sister hotel in the walled city at no extra charge. I arrived at Boutique Hotel Santo Toribio and was greeted by the lovely Angelica who warmly welcomed me to this 8 room hotel in the center of Cartagena. Steps from everything fun to see and do... Angelica and German who works the restaurant and bar gave me a fresh complimentary melon juice which was amazing and then in my room presented me with complimentary bottle of wine and fruits. The hotel is lovely. A pool and rooftop jacuzzi and a nice design. Absolutely charming and modern. The only two complaints of this hotel are that outside it’s safe and secure gate you will be harassed for money by some sort of seller and in the rooms it’s hard to mask the Cartagena sewage smell that is necessary for water to drain from your shower. But in every way possible this hotel deserves five star.

Great hotel, extra clean, awesome staff. Mariana the breakfast server was very kind, accommodating and sweet. Areas of improvement: breakfast, the options are very limited and you get the same options every day which can be boring if you stay several days. The kitchen is VERY slow. The food is just ok. When checking out, you need to have exact cash or pay with credit card because or you won’t get change back.

Beautiful property, amazing dining room staff and decent menu for breakfast. So many options for food nearby. The location is great but way to many people hassling you to buy their merchandise or begging for money, it’s almost unbearable (Not the hotels fault). Our only issue with the hotel is there is no hot water. We asked several times they came said it fixed but it was the same at that point we just let it go. We weren’t really happy with our room when we arrived because it was literally right in front. We expected one of those nicer balcony rooms thats advertised. The front staff wasn’t very attentive but it could be the language barrier most don’t speak English. But, when we asked questions they made an effort. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay the room was also kept cleaned and the common areas as well. Probably won’t be back but still I would recommend.

When we arrived the staff was very welcoming and were very helpful to us in finding local attractions and restaurants. They even went out of their way to get my sister a birthday cake since that was the reason we visited Colombia. They were genuinely nice, I would recommend anyone to stay here if they want to real experience of Cartagena local life. Karen and Jorge were so nice and willing to assist in anything we needed. 10/10 great experience staying here!

I had an incredible stay at this hotel for my birthday weekend in Cartagena! From the moment I arrived, the receptionist Katleen was outstanding, providing exceptional assistance and ensuring I felt welcomed. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety to choose from.
