    Lovely boutique hotel
Casa San Agustin in Cartegena is a vey boutique hotel. Food was good. Service was good. Rooms are dark. Pool area is too small (for high season anyway). Family of 3 stayed in 2 rooms. Room 107 is too tiny (especially the bathroom) even for one person. Also, nothing special about this part of the hotel. Room 206 is lovely, huge (although still dark) and this part aid the hotel is another world with lovely lounging areas, self- serve coffee bars and honor bars. Very nice. A very nice touch was the gifts delivered every night with turn down service in addition to the sweet treat, e.g., straw clutch, cologne/room fragrance (?), woven small box, bottle of rum, Colombian coffee, etc., etc., etc. LOVED all of our surprises. Good service, very pleasant staff. My major complaint is that the towels in this hotel were the thinnest, roughest and dingiest towels I have ever encountered in any four or five star hotel anywhere in the world. And I have visited 27 countries on 5 continents. They actually were uncomfortable to use and were downright painful after one day on a boat. Seriously, these towels are shockingly bad. And so dingy that they didn’t even look clean. They must be replaced ASAP! Simply not acceptable for any class of hotel, but especially this one!
Dear guest, We're pleased to read your positive comments. Our commitment is to provide the best of services by mixing colonial magic with an exceptional style. Thank you for choosing us as your place to stay in the city. We are honored to have been able to host you as a guest at our hotel in Cartagena and It will be a pleasure for us to host you on your next visit. We just sent this little note to apologize for any inconvenience in your room or with some amenities during your stay, the most important thing for us is the satisfaction of our customers. Your comments are very important to us because it gives us the opportunity to improve and take prompt and timely actions. Thank you very much and we hope to serve you again in the near future. My best regards, Carolina Bernal General Manager

Wonderful moment of luxury and privacy
We were welcomed with smiles and cold drinks as we entered through the huge wrought iron gates into the atrium of this glorious property. The hotel entry provided a welcoming calm and was simply awesome, literally. The restoration, decor and attention to detail throughout was like walking back in history. The rooms were stunning. Our suite’s sitting room, being an internal room, was a little dark for my liking but they happily provided another floor lamp which made it possible to sit and read in the comfy chairs. The bed and the bathroom huge and simply luxurious. There was a narrow spiral staircase up into the room which I found enchanting but others with any physical disability may find a little challenging. Staff were efficient and nothing was any trouble. They had a free “coffee hour” in the afternoon which I found amusing. It was simply a Nespresso machine and pods which the staff member happily “Nespresso-ed” for you. I thought they probably should have provided a proper brewed coffee machine if they were going to offer this service. Especially in one of the coffee capitals of the world. However, the free little petit four treats provided were delicious! The pool was fabulous, the bar great and food excellent. Yes, it was expensive staying here but we were treated like royalty and felt like it. Great location too. I’d happily recommended it to someone who wants privacy from the outside world in luxurious surroundings.
Dear Guest, We would like to thank you infinitely for having chosen Casa San Agustín for your stay. I am glad to know that you enjoyed your stay at our property, but we are much more pleased that you stand out the work of our staff, they are definitely our most valuable treasure. Thank you very much and we hope to serve you again in the near future. Best regards

    Simply The Best
The service at Casa San Agustin is unmatched. The staff become familiar faces during your stay (thank you Jesse for the fantastic introduction when we first arrived). The bed is incredibly comfortable and the bathroom is gorgeous and spacious. It was walking distance to all the restaurants and activities we wanted to do during our trip to Cartegena. It is a very safe location, but also felt extra secure with the constant presence of a security guard at the entrance to the hotel. Breakfast was included in our stay, including a mimosa bar with fresh juices. And we enjoyed the different treats every night with turndown service. Between the pool, plants, and colonial architecture the hotel is simply gorgeous. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

Loved this hotel. Staff was wonderful . I wish I knew everyone’s name to thank them . Paola was so sweet , welcoming and helpful. She made sure daily we were enjoying our stay. She had them give us ice pops to cool us off and the welcome drink is delicious. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. The pool is such a welcome and refreshing way to cool off and relax . Our room was standard size but clean and comfortable. The only negative was there was no place to hang my dresses so I improvised . Also the a/c at night wasn’t up to speed. Small issues in a great hotel. And their restaurant Alma was one of the best meals we had during our week stay . Highly recommend casa San Agustin .

Fantastic stay! Beautiful hotel with a great staff. The rooms are large and well decorated and the Alma restaurant breakfast was terrific. Don't miss the cheese waffle. Can't wait to return to Cartagena and Hotel San Agustin.

I can not say enough good things about Casa San Augustin. My new favorite hotel-in the world. It is breathtaking! The attention to detail my husband and I experienced at this breathtaking hotel was unmatched! The hotel is architecturally STUNNING!! Every detail was the pinnacle of luxury! The beds were amazingly comfortable. Suffice it to say, we would have loved to extend our stay in Cartagena for the room alone! It really was the perfect choice for us. I will forever be grateful for this experience. Never once did we feel unsafe. Everyone was friendly, kind, and humble! Special thanks to Olga, Paola, the server during breakfast (sorry I forgot his name).

This hotel is perfectly located for access to great restaurants and shops and historic sites. The staff is so welcoming and the rooms are really lovely. The bar and restaurant have excellent food and service. I highly recommend this hotel. The only drawback was a lack of fitness center but their sister property down the road allows access for guests from this property.

Amazing boutique hotel with exceptional service located in the middle of the walled city. Truly a slice of heaven and reprieve from the disgustingly hot temps and from being accosted by people trying to sell you things on the streets. Service and food were incredible and we loved being able to cool down in the pool in between outings. The staff was so friendly and helpful and understand what 5 star service is. Our room was on the 3rd floor and had 30ft ceilings and a charming balcony that overlooked the city. We were between the Sofitel and Casa San Agustin and can 100% say we made the right choice. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. You will not be disappointed.

We had the most amazing time at casa San agustin, the staff, the food and the spa services were great. First of all Paola had a wonderful surprise for us in our room for our anniversary and Jaime was always ready to greet us and help with any directions or tours we wanted. We went to the spa and Katherine went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and even had a cake for us for after the massage with Yesenia and Lauren that were amazing. Our experience was so nice that we went back for one more massage before we went home with Claudia and Marilyn. And what can I say about the restaurant, the food was delicious, great atmosphere and Roberto and Miguel were amazing. Needless to say we will be coming back and staying here very soon.
