The historic feel is strong in the public areas. The location is superb as one can walk to any number of points of interest. The rooms are simply sumptuous. Prices are quite high. Recommended for those who like heritage buildings - this one was formerly a convent. Worth a drink or dinner even if not staying overnight.

This is a beautiful hotel with the most amazing floral arrangements located just inside the wall around Cartagena with a view of the ocean (from the 4th floor rooms). The open air inner courtyard just past the very comfortable overstuffed chairs in the lobby is a great place to wait for colleagues. Check in was accompanied by a knock at...

A few years back, I wrote a very positive review of this hotel. Overall I would still agree: the location is perfect: inside the walled city, quite close to the conference center and the increasing fashionable Getsimani district outside the traditional core of the old town; and the hotel itself simply breaths tropical elegance. Beds were excellent, the rolling blinds...

I booked and escorted a group of 40 guests for 2 nights to this iconic hotel in Cartagena. It delivered in every aspect vix location, impact (WOW), and general service. The rooms are sumptuous and huge and although they do vary, everyone in my group was delighted. Breakfasts were wonderful and offered a range of choices. My only criticism was...

I only stay at this hotel when I go to Cartagena. Top quality service and lovely rooms! The restaurant and pool area are stunning. I also highly recommend the spa, a great way to relax. It's more personal without being a small hotel.

This is a very well run luxury hotel. I stayed for a single night with my 16 year old son. There was an excellent outside restaurant with good service and an informal menu (pizza, cerviche). Perhaps the most stunning feature is the roof top swimming pool with extensivve views of the red tile roof tops of the old city. My...

I booked a room with the free cancellation policy and now they claim is not refundable, my word vs theirs, and it appears they dont care about it. Ill never book them again. There are plenty more options.

The amazing, charismatic and beautiful scenery are the only thing which cannot be faulted about the restaurant outside. The wonderful atmosphere is really the only reason that anyone would ever go to this place. Apart from the music which I would like to note was exceptional. There were many disappointing aspects of our meal there that evening. The service was...

It has been a great experience to stay at this hotel. The location in side "Ciudad amurallada" allows you to enjoy just a walk distance of the must see places, like the gold museum, the inquisition museum, the cathedral, anf many other places. I got relaxed in the spa, the room was very conftable and luxiry in its colonial. The...

This is a lovely property in a great location and should be brilliant. My room was excellent if on the small side. But it does let itself down. For a massive tourist center with many English speaking visitors (if the guests and those wandering the streets are any guide) there were very few who spoke any sort of English. The...
