We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Charleston Santa Teresa in Cartagena. The room provided plenty of space for two people, the shower was incredible and we appreciated having a safe for valuables. The rooftop pool was refreshing and the scenery beautiful! We enjoyed big delicious breakfasts each day and enjoyed drinks, lunch and dinner at the Wedding reception we attended. We really, really appreciated Ronal's help in arranging a walking tour for us and dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant. His easy manner and can do attitude was delightful and extremely helpful.

WE STAYED FOR FOUR NIGHTS IN AN OCEAN VIEW SUITE WHICH WAS VERY CLEANED, WELL MAINTAINED, LARGE, AND BEAUTIFUL. HOUSEKEEPING IS PERFECT. IN ALL RESPECTS, THE STAFF WAS TOP-NOTCH.....AND EXTRA CARING CONSIDERING THAT MY WIFE HAD SPRAINED HER ANKLE. THE ROOM SERVICE WAS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE....WITH HOT STEAMED MILK FOR YOUR COFFEE. THE BREAKFASTS ARE MAGICAL. OVERALL THE HOTEL PAYS ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND IS WELL LOCATED IN THE OLD TOWN.

Our stay at the Charleston was excellent. We could not have had a better experience at any other hotel in the walled city. From the moment they welcome you in, you feel like you are in a little paradise. The customer service and hospitality is top notch. We will definitely be coming back.

Great location. We had no hot water the first day. The breakfast buffet was less than mediocre. The worst coffee I’ve had and this in a country that prides itself on its coffee. Food at lunch was tired. Housekeeping was spotty. Not a luxury hotel.

Good hotel with high level personnel. Special mention to Ronal who is definitively a top notch concierge. His care and attention to our needs were impressive. Areas to improve: Building itself is beautiful but the rooms need renovation. Very few gluten free options at breakfast.

Hazard mold at the rooms , also a racist staff , Leonardo Quiroga Considered that every woman who do the check out after 8 pm is a whore “ that is how this manager called my mom and didn’t let her do the check in …. This is insane and very sad … also there is air purifiers at every hallway and in my room but it doesn’t kill the hazardous mold … in USA this is a lawsuit for sure … but in Colombia they don’t have this regulations .

This is a magical place to stay at while in Cartagena. Location is superb. The rooftop pool overlooking the city offers unmatched views and the restaurant is truly great (half of the menu seems to be Peruvian cuisine despite being in Colombia).
