An interesting building with character in an historic area run by a friendly and charming family - but they have a bit of a way to go to bring this up to its claimed 'boutique hotel' standard.
Contrary to information posted on various websites, it does not accept any credit cards (which came as a shock), does not have a free shuttle between the airport and hotel, and there is no English-speaking member of staff. My first-floor room had an atrium-type bathroom with a large shaft going down to the room below which meant you could hear everything from the bathroom and guest room below - so little privacy. The top part of the bathroom wall had lattice brickwork, enabling birds and mosquitoes to fly freely into the bathroom and bedroom. My room wasn't particularly clean when I arrived and the day after my first night it wasn't cleaned, After pointing this out, the room was then cleaned daily.
