We stayed for 6 nights as we has a friends wedding in the Old City. After a few mornings we were greeted with warm hugs with our breakfast - our broken Spanish was used with lots of laughs and smiles! We felt totally comfortable here and loved the roof top. Quiet inside the hotel and only horses going by at...

We visited cartagena and were not sure if we wanted to stay in the old city or outside of the wall. I am so happy we chose to stay in the old part of the city. Hotel casa gloria is in a great location. It is on a quiet street but in walking distance from the main squares with plenty...

Cartagena is a beautiful old city to wander around for hours. Casa Gloria was a fantastic home base. Excellent location, beautifully appointed rooms and very friendly staff; and very clean. The pool was perfect after the hot day. It was perfect for a family. We stayed in the two floor room and the kids loved it. Overall Cartagena is expensive...

Last month my wife and I spent 5 days in Cartagena at Casa Gloria Hotel. We had an amazing time there and one of the reasons was the amazing people who took care of us there. They were helpful, warm and very nice. What an amazing team! The hotel is quite near from everything in the old city, so we...

The hotel is really lovely. It is exceptionally clean and the staff are lovely, very warm and welcoming, and always able to help. Overall, the staff have driven my final rating, as they really are an asset to the hotel. They managed to provide an iron at the last minute for a wedding I was attending, as well as arrange...

Meh - we found Casa Gloria to be a bit overpriced (I’d highly recommend Bantu Hotel, where we stayed for the other portion of our time in Cartagena) and gritty. The rooms are incredibly small - almost akin to what you’d find in Manhattan.

Dear Tim A, Thank you very much for taking the time to advise of your recent stay at Hotel Casa Gloria. I was really disappointed to read about your experience with us. I certainly empathise regarding the point you mention about the size of the room you stayed in. You are right, the space in our standard rooms is limited...

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The hotel is simple, nice, and comfy. They offer breakfast which for us wasn't included because we stayed in the apartment suite, some rooms include breakfast I believe, we paid to eat at the hotel once and it was a simple breakfast and cheap. The staff were ALL super friendly and...

Our experience was great, the hotel is well centered in a great area, the staff is very welcoming, Kevin made our stay very pleasant. My daughter got sick on the first night and the cooks helped me figure out what to get for her stomach to settle (you can anything over-the-counter in Colombia). The apartment studio we stayed in was...

I have to totally agree with Brian O's review. Location is great, and staff friendly, but our room was small, quite run down, and lots of mosquitoes. There was plenty of dried up masking tape over some of the gaps in the door. We switched hotels after the first night. I'd recommend spending a little more money for a nicer...

Before I go on, you should know that I'm taking the star-rating conventions literally. I see a 5-star rating as "rare gems, above and beyond", a 4-star rating as "everything went right" a 3-star as "fine... but not exciting," a two star is "they tried, but it really wasn't good," and a 1-star is "i disliked everything and everybody." First,...
