Firstly, thank you for an excellent stay. We had such a great time with you and was looked after well by everyone. We booked a balcony room (Premium King) and it did not disappoint, we did not want to leave. Special mentions to Alexandra & Maria Cristina they went above and beyond in making us feel welcome. The pool was not too busy while we were there and we watched the sunset every night with a cocktail. The breakfast was excellent and well presented, the local dishes were a treat. We also had a couples massage and it was very good and decently predicted (only complaint was the piggies on the roof making noise during the massage) Our room was very cleaned and well stocked with many amenities beyond what you need but it gave a feel of added luxury. We give our warmest recommendation and hope to be able to visit on another trip to Cartagena. …
I would absolutely stay here again! The hotel was beautiful, location was perfect, the staff was attentive and so friendly. Nelson, in particular was very helpful in making reservations and recommending restaurants as well. We loved staying here, and enjoyed the pool and rooftop terrace to take in the views. From the time we arrived (quick check-in, cool head towels and welcome drinks) until we left (held our luggage until our car arrived to take us to the hotel and loaded our luggage for us once arrived), we couldn’t have been more pleased. I highly recommend the Movich hotel for your stay in Cartagena!
Great location, food was superb and above all the service was incredible. They were very accommodating and expedited in all request.; sometimes went above and beyond. Would certainly recommend if planning to visit cartagena
This hotel is stunning, perfectly located in the walled city and with close access to Getsemani, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We loved our room on the 5th floor with a veranda and street view. The pool and bar are on the 6th floor, so this made it easy to walk up and down the beautiful staircase anytime we needed anything from the room. Breakfast started with a large fruit plate and then your choice of a cooked to order option - mostly Colombian-inspired, which was appreciated and delicious! The views from the rooftop can’t be beat, and the bar food and cocktails are delicious. There were private rooftop events when we were there and yet we had no issue getting a table for sunset drinks, not falling asleep around 11pm when the party was still going just one floor up. Special thanks to Maria Christina at breakfast, Tomas at the rooftop bar, and Rafael at check-in/bellman. The only issues of significance for us: the gym is extremely small and with barely any machines or equipment, and the bed in our room was quite hard and uncomfortable. These are the only issues that make this hotel not perfect and I would recommend you try it!…
Very upscale and beautiful with tip top service. The view is superb (both before and after sunset). The food is good and the margarita was the best I’ve had in a long time! You can even go hang out at the rooftop pool if you want :-)
We had to walk miles on cobblestone streets. The people were friendly and helpful. The views were beautiful. Lovely place. The people that worked at the hotel were so helpful and happy to be there. I would recommend the hotel. Our rooms were spacious and very clean.
Service and location were good. Rooms are spacious, clean, but a bit old. The biggest watchout if you are considering staying here is the noise from the roof top bar. If you plan in staying up late until midnight you will have no problem. But if you want to go to sleep anytime before midnight, you will not be able to do so. The hotel wont even be able to move you anywhere because the place is too small, so you can hear the music from all rooms. At least that is what the front desk told us when we tried…otherwise, this is a fine hotel ti stay in beautiful Cartagena.
OK, the location in the old town and the roof top pool and the sun deck are hard to beat. However, already with the choice of music being played for sun set (Milli Vanilli, Lionel Richie), you feel, that this place needs a face lift and is somehow dated. For the money they are asking, the rooms are definitely not up to standard compared to hotels in Medellin like ClickClack or 23. A lot of scratches and marks on the furniture etc The breakfast restaurant and the Gym room are without windows and hence completely lack any atmosphere. Overall not fit as a "small luxury hotel of the world"
Great location and fantastic. Rooftop bar with beautiful sunsets. Small but very nice swimming pool on the roof Good food and service and very friendly staff. Very accommodating. Comfortable room. The only complaint is that I could not get feather pillows.
We had an amazing time at Movich Cartagena, the service was outstanding, we traveled with our six months old baby and we had all the help and recommendations we needed. We had dinner at the restaurant the first night after we arrived and the food was great. Our room was huge and had everything required, except some slippers, which would have been nice. The rooftop has an extraordinary view over both old-town and bocagrande with the high rises. The location is perfect, stepping out in the middle of old town with all the shops, restaurants, squares and sights (the museo del oro is next door for example). We can very much recommend the Movich in Cartagena.
