The hotel itself is jaw dropping, interior decoration is truly stunning. But if they want to keep on charging 170 a night, they need to sort some things out like water temperature and pressure. I get is hot outside, but a four star hotel needs to offer a hot shower, and reliable water pressure. It's just basic. The rest was... More

To start with: no hot water for five days. And I got the run around every time i asked about it. 'it's being fixed" "it was fixed" (Trust me, it never was). "It is stil being fixed," etc. The staff members were kind enough (though if the owner was the man lingering at all hours, ugh.). The "pools" weren't clean.... More

My wife and I spent 3 nights in Casa Lola. We were expecting a great hotel and a great location which we got. What surpassed our expectations was the friendliness of the staff and actually the hospitality and great recommendations of the hotel director. Sol and the receptionists really know Cartagena as all their tips were spot on. The hotel... More

Very friendly staff and darling hotel. Located near to the wall city. Walking distance to every place to visit in Cartagena. Charming place to stay. Even if you feel to stay in the hotel, it is a nice and refreshing couple of pools on the roof to enjoy a drink or more.

It was one of the best places that I had ever been! The hotel is so beautiful, the design and decoration are fantastic. It is not in Cidade Murada, but is close. However, it is in a neighborhood that I considered more interesting than Cidade Murada, in Getsemani, where I realized the real Cartagena!

I was traveling alone, so hesitated to book a hotel outside of the main tourist area in a neighborhood, but I'm so glad I did. Casa Lola is a 3-5 minute walk from the old town area in a fascinating little area that gave me a glimpse of everyday life in Cartagena. There were restaurants (don't miss la Cocina de... More

This gem of a hotel is set in the middle of a quiet street in Getsemani, at the end of which is the Plaza de la Trinidad, which hosts a nightly...rave? block party? gathering of young & old...so much fun. First, the staff, all of whom made our stay comfortable and carefree. A huge thank you to the front desk... More

Great place to stay in Cartagena. Lovely hotel well designed rooms and a pool on the roof. Breakfast is pretty good and staff service is friendly and helpful. Hotel is located in getsemani 2min walk from lot of nice restaurants and a little square. 6min walk from Cartagena city center. Really enjoyed this boutique hotel and would go there again!

My boyfriend and I visited Cartagena for week and we were looking for a very authentic, traditional experience (I'm Colombian-born but raised in the US). Casa Lola is in a prime location, the enchanting local neighborhood of Getsemani, where you get the best of both worlds; a taste of the local community and 5-min walking distance from the historic center.... First off, let me start by telling you we booked for the cheapest room they had for our last night in Cartagena. A standard room was expected. We had a late check in around 5 pm. To our surprise, we were upgraded to the most expensive room, the master suite. Free of charge. This hotel is magnificent. The smell of... More
