An 18th century Colonial manor house, Casa Quero was part of the legendary Count Quero estate. When converted into an exclusive and intimate boutique hotel, none of the historical values of this Colonial jewel were lost. Located inside the historic walled city of Cartagena (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site), this elegantly restored property offers seven charming and intimate bedrooms on four levels, each spacious and distinct in décor. Well-lit rooms are traditional in style with modern amenities and delightful views of the city from the charming flowered balconies. Enjoy a swim in the rooftop pool with its breathtaking panoramic views of the Hill of la Popa and the dome of San Pedro. Take a bike ride through the historic city and return to a relaxing spa treatment. Lastly, take part in the unique cooking classes where guests, alongside award-winning chefs, can create amazing seafood dishes and capture the essence of Caribbean cooking.

My family of 4 stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of our Columbia trip. We felt comfortable and welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is unique and beautiful. It felt authentic yet luxurious at the same time. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was delicious. The community spaces were beautiful and we loved the hammocks. The patio off our room was a lovely spot to relax and watch the bustling city in the evening. The rooftop pool was perfect for cooling off and enjoying the view. We appreciated Elsee taking such good care of our children and for her kind and welcoming attitude.

We are a Colombian-Australian couple. We wanted to show our Aussie family the best of Cartagena and that is why we picked this boutique hotel. The hotel is very small (only 7 rooms) which makes it a bit more exclusive. The rooms and big, clean and very well decorated. The architecture of the house is beautiful. The staff is very helpful and kind. The breakfast is delicious. You must try arepa con huevo y carne. Overall it’s been an awesome experience

Where to begin? This is the MOST amazing little, quaint hotel in Cartegena. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, seriously, you feel like you are at a 5 star hotel. Casa Quero is a colonial house converted into the hotel, so if you are looking for a true Cartagena feeling, you must stay here! Exceptionally clean, beautiful, the showers, ahhh!. You can borrow their bikes to ride around town. On the rooftop there is pool and a jacuzzi, perfect for a relaxing time after a hot day. However, all the beauty is overshadowed by the staff!!! they treat you like family, like a very special guest. Elsie and Jacky are super friendly and helpful with anything you need. Jacky will help with your tours and transportation. Elsie will make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible and will serve you the best breakfast. I highly recommend Casa Quero and when I go back, there is no other place for me to stay. Gracias Jacky and Elsie and all the staff ! I miss you already :-)

Where to begin with this amazing hotel?? Upon arrival we were greeted by Jesus. We had 1,000 questions to ask him as we had a lot of things in mind for our short stay. He spoke excellent English and was so patient with us as we decided how we were going to plan out our three day stay. Jesus helped us book a private beach day to the island of Baru, a great reservation at Restaurante 1621, and massages. Our room was massive and so clean and cool which is VERY important in Cartagena as it seems to be always hot, muggy, and steamy at all times of the day. For such a big room I was constantly amazed at how cool our room always was. It was such a delight every time coming home from one adventure or another. Our first day we went down to breakfast and were waited on hand and foot by the kitchen staff. Elsie was so sweet and helpful, by the end of our stay she knew how we liked our coffee and that we didn’t drink orange juice. She was so smiley and kind, she helped start every day off on a good note. We had booked massages through Jesus for our first day in Cartagena and while we waited we wanted nothing more but to lounge on the rooftop pool with a bottle of wine and they were so accommodating. They had the wine, glasses, and ice bucket waiting for us when we made it to the pool top. Jesus knew that we had booked a driver for a lot of money to take us to Tayrona Park the next day and while we were at the pool he came upstairs to tell us that he had made some calls and found a cheaper option for us. The thoughtfulness of his help was outstanding! When we were done with the wine we went down for our massages. They were held downstairs in a private area and was very peaceful. Overall, the hotel is calm, beautiful, and clean, but it is the hospitality of the staff that truly made us feel like royalty. Yakeline was so helpful and nice when we checked out, we had a taxi waiting for us immediately after and she sent us off with a smile and a hug. I would never want to stay anywhere else in Cartagena after I know the quality of service you receive at Casa Quero. The location was great and central and all our hopes and plans were made reality with the help of all the staff. Thank you Casa Quero! We will be back!
