I created a trip advisor account solely to review this joke of a hotel. My girlfriend and I were looking for a simple place to meet our minimal needs during our stay in Cartagena, and this fell no where close. To begin with, the room was tiny. It was smaller than most NYC apartments. There was only one sheet on... More

Cartagena is a quaint little town inside the old walled city. There are some wonderful restaurants and some top flight hotels. It can also be a tourist trap and a scam whether it is the vendors selling plastic hats made in China being presented as authentic, water vendors selling water refilled from the public system (dangerous) or some of the... This lovely little hotel is in the old city and well positioned for walking, sightseeing, drinking and dining. The rooms are set around two courtyards and are a good size. Ours had a comfortable double bed, a good hot shower and was very clean. The air con worked well, and it was hot when we stayed. We did not like... More

The location could not be better, right in middle of the old town between two lovely squares yet quiet rooms. We had a room with balcony on first floor, the ones on ground floor whilst cheaper had windows into courtyard. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. The hotel was 100% secure. Breakfast was good, nice to include fruit. Would certainly... More

3 Banderas is a cute hotel near plaza San Diago, near the Santa Clara hotel and three blocks from Gabriel Garcia Marquez's home. It's a typical style Old city built property with plenty green, courtyards and verandas. The breakfasts are not too bad, the ambiance is generally positive. However, I felt like the hotel staff could do a little more... More

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel 3 Banderas for our anniversary in May of 2014. The room was beautiful, good comfortable bed and a nice porch overlooking the courtyard. The hotel was in a very convenient location, easy to walk anywhere within the walled city, and although we probably should have taken a cab we were able to... More

Coming from Palomino it was quiet a relief when arriving at this hotel. Centrally situated within the walled city of Cartagena de los Indios. Not far from all the attractions of this old city. 2 Patios, very comfortable and clean rooms with free wifi. Air conditioned. There should be a swimming pool but being busy seeing all the attractions we... More

The area is great, and the hotel is nice and the rooms are clean and well done. Very cute. The staff was very helpful and went way out of the way to help us in many aspects especially with getting to the airport when we were late. The hotel manager is a very kind and helpful man.

One of many 'boutique' hotels in the old city of Cartagena, the 3 Banderas is conveniently located in the San Diego quarter, in a quiet street within an easy walk of all the main sights and many restaurants. The public areas are nicely maintained, consisting of two colonial-style buildings and their courtyards with traditional fittings. Staff are efficient without being... More

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days and it got the job done. It was perfectly situated within the walled city of Cartagena and on one of the most picturesque streets. I was in a room with 2 twin beds which was very cramped for my friend and I. They did have larger rooms that our friends were lucky... More
