Detailed Reviews
I loved staying at the Spiwak Chipichape. It was a high quality experience with very helpful and considerate staff at the front desk, the bell men, and the restaurant. The bar staff was wonderful in giving me ice for my water container. I live in Alaska, so the heat was tough to handle, so that ice was very important to me. I wanted to use the pool, but I didn't like the idea of everyone in the hotel looking at me. But truly, the rooms and the layout of the hotel in some ways is like the Embassy Suites layout, 3/4 of a circle with all rooms opening toward the center. It was nice. I would have liked a water feature by the lobby like Embassy Suites always has. The hotel has a very nice breakfast buffet that is included with the room. Another cool benefit of this hotel is it is attached to a very large shopping mall with many clothes, shoes, food, and other stores including a large grocery store for whatever you want to take to your room. If I come back to Cali I would absolutely check the prices. I stayed here in association with a birding conference, and we got rates of about USD$76/night. I would not want to pay more, but their regular rates are too high. So, if I could get a good rate, I would stay here, but I wouldn't pay the full rate.

We stayed for a week at this property doing business in the valley. Our room consisted of kind of a studio with a kitchenette (sink, microwave, dishes etc) separate from the bedroom, which also had a spacious desk. The bathroom was also of decent size.
So, all in all a very positive experience and the price performance compared with other hotels in the city was also good. The only thing to improve was that room cleaning was inconsistent in that shower gels and such were not replenished. However, when asking for anything afterwards, staff was very friendly and resolved the issue.
Last but not least, the hotel is connected to the Chipichape shopping mall, which also adds food choices to the hotel restaurants or when you, after work, have to run an errand.

The rooms and other areas of the hotel were clean. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Breakfast had lots of variety and the servers were very attentive. The location of the hotel is the most amazing feature, there is a feeling of security and you are able to enjoy shopping.

Came to here to visit family who moved out here from the states. I thought that having a hotel connected to a mall would be great. So I chose to stay at this hotel for 5 days the following is my review of the hotel:
Check-in:
General expectations had only one person to check in, but waiting wasn't long.
Room:
The keycard reader for the door doesn't always read the card, so I had to stand there trying multiple times (front desk was informed). The window was broken and the hinge seemed like it was going to fall off if you tried to open the window. (we issued for a repair but was told that's how it should be?) The TV kept flickering between pink and blue hues. The beds were very comfy and bathroom was nice and clean. Housekeeping happened often so even if you were there while housekeeping came by, they'll come by again after you leave. (don't leave stuff on the bed it'll help them clean faster!)
Walking around common areas:
I have been asked multiple times for my name and what room I'm staying in upon entering the hotel, even though I've already stayed here multiple days. If I enter the hotel later at night after a night of partying, I get what seems like angry stares from hotel staff, a simple buenas or hello would have been nice.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is not too bad. Make sure to pay for it if you're buying a travel package it can be a better deal, otherwise it's $20 USD to eat the breakfast buffet. I have noticed if I dressed nicer the staff will be accommodating. If I just wore t-shirt and jeans/shorts I'm left alone longer (might have also been due to me not knowing Spanish well enough to ask questions or answer questions)
Pool:
A little smaller than expected so I didn't use it at all.
Gym:
I've been told is a bit outdated by other guests so I didn't bother checking it out myself.
Sound:
During the time of writing this, there is construction of another hotel across the street, so do not expect to sleep in. If you're interested in the parties they also play very loud music in the mall till 10PM to 11:30PM which you can also hear through your hotel door. If you're not staying at an end room, you can also hear everyone talking through the door as they walk by very well.
Overall the amount paid ($190 USD a night a night) is not worth the stay. If I wanted to constantly be asked for my name, and my room number... I'd pay less and go to the other hotels.

The best part of this hotel is the location. It is situated right next to Chipichape Mall, and Pacific Mall, a great shopping experience. It is also walking distance to a Supermarket, a Movie Theater, and great restaurants, a very upscale neighborhood. You will feel safe here, there is a security guard to enter the hotel, and you can't go up the elevators without your room card. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast was included in the price, and you have a good buffet spread. Whether you are a meat eater or a vegan you will find various options. The beds were comfortable and made for a great night sleep. A few things that were negatives for me: They could upgrade their customer service, not a good experience for me. Their business center could be upgraded as well, no privacy, out in the open. The pool is in the middle of everything, and does not have that relaxation factor, no privacy either. The shower faucet is not flexible and would spout water everywhere, the shower door panel only covers 1/2 of the shower door opening, and therefore when you shower the water spills to the bathroom floor. I had to put towels right next to the opening to avoid getting the bathroom floor soaked. Constant knocks in your room in the am trying to check the mini-bar, if you need laundry service, if you need cleaning. So if you need peace and quiet, please use a DO NOT DISTURB sign or you will be disrupted. The WiFi is totally unstable and had a very hard time connecting for work.

There is no sense to service the customer! Hotel personnel avoid to look at customers instead of trying to see if the customers needs help. One can finish the entire breakfast and there was no one interested in serving coffee/tea to you, you literally have to chase a waitress to get coffee. Management should stay one night at the Four Points Sheraton hotel lo learn what good customer service is!

I reserved a one night anniversary package. It included spa, sauna, dinner, king bed jacuzzi suite, with bouquet and petal decoration, ceviche taken to the room and breakfast.
We arrived at the reception which was very nice and were treated very well. However when we entered the room there was no decoration and I was disappointed as it was an anniversary surprise. I called the receptionist and she was very apologetic. After 10 minutes we were taken to a superior suite (upgrade) and were given a complimentary bottle of champagne.
Although this happened I gave the review 5 stars because we were treated like royalty, the spa was amazing. The massage was very good, relaxing and amenities were excellent. The dinner at la Zarzuela was delicious (there is a separate review).
The room was beautiful and luxurious with a huge bed, en suite and balcony.
The hotel is next to Chipichape so a bonus was we could walk there without leaving the hotel.
My wife absolutely loved the stay and will happily return.

The rooms are clean and the restaurant is good. However, It is very expensive for what they offer. The main issue is that the staff is not serious with the charge for the rooms. I extended my stay a couple of days, paying up front the expense that I was told. However, at check out they tried to make an unjustified extra charge. In case you stay at this hotel, make sure that you have a receipt or something that certifies that the room is paid in full.

Not a good hotel for Americans who do not speak or understand Spanish. My experience there was terrible but the location is very nice. Only one female in the caferia understood and spoke very little English and I asked several times for my TV to be put on English settings instead of Spanish I was told that the TV is only in Spanish except CNN so for 5 days I could not watch TV shows or Movies. The breakfast was good but nobody upstanding English so my orders took about 20 minutes to prepare .The managers were always to busy to talk to me I asked for a manager on two occasions I never saw one and no one got in touch with me so my free breakfast there I had to stop going in the camera because of the language barring so I had to go out and buy my food.

I was fortunate to met Andre's Molina a Colombian bell hop for the Spiwak properties I stayed at the Spirito and from the very 1st night Andres was a big help. Yes, Andres speaks English. Great Visit. The Spiwak properties are phenomenal and located strategically in, a short Uber/Taxi ride to most attractions.

Gracias. Steve the Gringo 😀
There are several hair salons at Chipichape and the one I recommend is located between the food court and gym. They have very friendly and professional staff and the prices are reasonable.
