so close to Jingli street staff is really helpful and speak good english. They even helped me to buy sim card, showing the nearest attraction and restaurant. I like the atmosphere of this hostel, all decoration. This hostel is clean and affordable
After a long tired journey from Iran via Central Asia and Northwest of China, in the end we reached Chengdu and stayed in Dream Travel Int’l Youth Hostel. That’s really a heaven for backpackers with warm welcome from hostel’s staffs and clean, comfortable rooms. The 1st floor was an open space where guests could stay raleaxed and echanged with each other. The Hostel is centrally located, just a few minutes walking to Wuhousi, Xinli street, Tibetan night market and bus stops to airport and other sightseeings in Chengdu. We stayed there 2 nights before getting home in Vietnam, feeled very satisfactory. Next time to Chengdu we will definitely stay there.
Inexpensive dorm bed. Inexpensive breakfast. I liked the Chinese pancake a lot. Perfect location to cover as many tourist sites as you possibly can. With the services of the Scenic Tour Bus, it is inexpensive to get to a lot of places. The Scenic Tour Bus leaves Chengdu from its parking bay just across the road from this hostel. The trips and the tickets are good. The 2D/1N trip I took to Mount Emei costs only RMB210 which include a one-night stay in a 3-star hotel (with a room that is as comfortable as a 4-star hotel). The trip also covered LeShan Big Buddha. Trip to airport only cost RMB10. This hostel location is perfect to get around. Walk about 500m and you can get on the metro. Walk across the street and there are plenty of buses to take. Even visiting Wuhouci museum is to walk across the street. From there, you can also take a shuttle from the Scenic Tour Bus to DuFu Thatched Cottage for RMB3 one-way. All facilities within walking distance. The bed, even though I was given the upper bunk, was surprisingly comfortable. I slept very well for the four nights I was there. The shared bathroom shower has good hot water and the toilets are clean. I did not use the locker. It was safe for me to leave my backpack in the 10-man dorm. What I didn't like about the stay, that is why I have given it only 4 stars, was people smoking in the room and in the living/dining hall. Cigarette smoke is constantly everywhere. I think I got second-hand cigarette smoke from this hostel more than anywhere I have been. Strictly, it would be good to enforce no-smoking policy in the place as it is air-conditioned. More so, China is emphasizing on 'Cultured' touring. A more civilized mentality when traveling and using public places.…
Staff are not friendly and helpful enough. Poor service than other youth hostel that I have been. Their breakfast were lousy too. Poor sound proof and hygiene in the room. Conversation and noise could be heard from the room beside. Stay for 2 nights then decide to checkout and change to the opposite hotel with even a cheaper price yet better service.
What I liked: nice location with many shops and restaurants nearby, free water, large common area, friendly staff What I didn't like: Dorm beds don't have curtains; making sleep difficult in a shared room, 6 bed dorm price of 45RMB (Spring festival pricing with HI member card) was on the high side, the rooms were a bit old, the lockers require personal padlocks rather than built in locks keyed to the room card. Recommendation: This hostel is a fine choice. I personally preferred both the T & Q hostel and Cloud Atlas hostels because of the modern room design, bunk curtains for a good night's sleep, and lockers with power outlets keyed to the room card.…
