The service in Sofitel was quite good especially before 2020, before the covid happened. But it's a hotel in Chengdu for long. Equipments inside are with history. Transportation is convenient but not much to see around though located in the city center.

This review depends on your priorities. I was upgraded to a suite with a river view which was great. The wifi was very stable, I streamed the Olympics no problem. But part of the reason why I booked this place was for the pool and hot tubs. The bot tubs were shut down, and it's not because of Covid because the pool was open, but only for outside kids' lessons. I went down there and was treated like an idiot for wanting a towel so I could dip in after seeing the pandas (who are awesome!) I really can't complain because of the upgrade, but if I wasn't upgraded I wouldn't have like it. This is one of the few times I stayed at a Mercure hotel and it was fine due to the unexpected upgrade. I probably wouldn't stay again because I depend I would rather have promised amenities than upgraded rooms.…

Arrived early after flight was early. Tried to see if could get an early check-in. Reception were really helpful and told us to go to restaurant for breakfast and they would have a room ready in an hour. Came to restaurant to get us when room was ready and had been upgraded to President suite. Room was huge with seperate lounge area and dressing rooms. Bathroom was great with a large jacuzzi bath and shower room. Even had a sauna in the room. 5 minutes from metro and around 20 minutes walk to anshun bridge. Concierge was really helpful for arranging taxis etc Great stay for 4 nights.

Stayed for 2 nights and our stay was very comfortable and pleasant The staff are very friendly and they guided us very well on where to go and what to do Special mention is Charlie who is the manager He made sure that we were very comfortable and asked us to contact him at any time should we need to. Packed a nice breakfast for us because left so early in the morning. Will surely return to this hotel. Just need a wider variety of vegetarian food both in room service menu and at breakfast

Our family of 8 recently enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Sofitel Chengdu Taihe in 3 Prestige Suites with daily Club access. The facilities were great and staff helpful when requests were made of them. Our only disappointment was to be initially allocated rooms on smoking floors when we had clearly requested a high floor with non smoking preferences - as is the case with our Accor Live membership profile settings. We arrived late in the night so there was no Accor Ambassador to help with the check-in, the overnight staff seemed to be a little overwhelmed by the lack of suitable prestige suites available - we were initially told that there was only one such type room on every floor - however upon checking on the fire escape diagram in the room you could clearly see other room configurations in the suite class setup. In the end they managed to bump one of the groups from the 7th Floor up to the 18th Floor. The others remained on 8th and 10th Floors respectively. Its annoying that in this day and age that hotels are not completely smoke free - passive smoke smells are not a great for the guests or the hotels ambiance and class.…

I almost had a perfect stay. The services we received were world class and the food was great. The only thing is the swimming pool is under renovation so can't be used. Also due to the renovation, there was very strong smell for the gym as well. Other than that, we has a great stay and will stay again in the future.

We book Junior suites for 3 nights. It was a great stay. The hotel is five minutes walk from Jinjiang hotel station from exit c. The facilities and room are beyond expectation. The junior suite room is spacious. At check out, the concierge was very helpful to call a taxi to the airport. I asked before the ride what would be the rate for the taxi meter. He answered 60 rmb which the meter turned out to be 59.1rmb. Super helpful...anyway we pay extra and gave some tips to the driver. Overall satisfaction of the stay I will rate 10 out of 10.
