We spent 3 nights in Chengdu with Two rooms. It was clean and quiet both rooms had private bathroom. We used the free laundry machines services (they have two machines) what was really good as we were 5 people after a week of traveling, so lot to clean :-). Some of the receptionists speak English and with the rest we communicated through translation apps. They provided us very good advises for dinner (the hotpot place was amazing and very close).
Stayed for 2 nights here in September. Lovely boutique hotel in a good location within Chengdu. Staff very friendly and good facilities. We did have a few issues here with cockroaches and our door being left open by the cleaners, but we spoke to the staff and they apologized and it was resolved.
We stayed at travelling with wide and narrow alley for 3 nights in October and wow, it delivered. We have been travelling all over the world for a while and this has to be one of the best value hotels we’ve stayed in. Lovely breakfast in the morning which is free if you have we chat. We also made use of the free bikes to explore the city and free laundry facilities. The double room was a very good size complete with gorgeous rain shower, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They even supply toothbrushes and a comb. The staff really enhanced our stay. Lee was so helpful guiding us to the metro and all the best local restaurants for us to try river snails, pig brain, chicken feet etc. Best wifi we’ve had in China! Highly recommended.
Travelling With Wide and Narrow Alley, Chengdu Reception: Reception staff always friendly, helpful and greet you with a smile. Had lots of fun with them all. Rooms: Our room was a spacious double. It was spotlessley clean, comfortable and pretty quiet, to say our third floor room overlooked the road. Toiletries and hairdryer are provided. Towels changed daily and I'm sure the bedding was changed daily also. Air con, large flat screen TV, bottled water daily. The decor is very modern. Breakfast: Breakfast can be purchased in the bar or free if you join them on WeChat. Very nice. Bar/Common Area: The bar/common area/roof terrace are lovely places to relax, have a drink (alcoholic/tea/coffee), meet new people, listen to nice background music or just chill. Washing Facilities: Two washing machines and soap liquid are provided free of charge on the roof terrace with a covered drying area. Location: Excellent location within easy access to local restaurants, bars, shops, banks, buses etc. Amenities: Cycles are available at no charge, we used them for a day and cycled along the river bank across the city it was lovely. Computer is available in the reception if you ask. Negatives: None at all. Tips: You must try Douji Restaurant around 100m up the road. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is superb and not expensive. They made such a fuss of us each evening. The locals queue to get a table. Thank you all for a very memorable stay.…
We spent 2 nights here on our trip through Sichuan. The hotel is very friendly, social, clean and enjoyable. The room was comfortable, albeit small. The bed was well above average. The style is modern with clean lines. Staff was all very friendly. Notable is the 3F lounge where you can socialize, have a drink or light meal. Good prices and deals available. Free onsite laundry (air dry). Good vibe!
