We booked a family room and the room come with another small room in it. There are a cute cartoon camp set up for the kid to play. Everything is good except toilet is not ventilated and you will find some kind of smell and the cleaniess need to be taken care. Room considered spacious and breakfast is simple. Many food stall and restaurant nearby but of course mostly sichuan cuisine.

I chose this hotel because AirBnb seemed to be more expensive than that in Chengdu and I never regretted it. I enjoyed the breakfast and the room. However somebody in the next room smoked and then I could smell it in my room too. Also the heating and wifi speed could be improved but overall I liked it there. The reception staff was so nice and friendly. They helped me with so many things such as typing address I was looking for in Chinese map navigation, ordering taxi for me, giving me advice where to go to enjoy Sichuan cuisine, when I wanted to go to one museum, they informed me it is closed and there is no information when it will re-open, booked a panda tour for me, etc. These are definitely things I probably wouldn't have so handy if I went for AirBnb, so I do recommend this place. And honestly the reception staff deserve medals!!!!!

Positive things first (that's why we give them 2 out of 5). The front office staff is friendly and speaks English. Negative was that the place has seen better days (see pictures) and the huge cockroach we found in our room (that one was hard to kill). After the cockroach adventure, we decided to cancel the second night. We got a refund without a problem. The breakfast fast was nothing special (you can skip it). We would not stay here again.

Most travellers do not stay long in Chengdu, and so this makes a decent option for 1 or 2 nights. But, if you want a bit more comfort then pay a bit more and stay elsewhere. This is a small hotel in a good location Reception spoke just a little English, but worked hard to help us. Rooms were large and pretty clean. Beds were very hard! Breakfast was somewhat simple and spartan... but ok. Staff can assist with any sightseeing and touring or transfers that you need. Again, this is just a small hotel.. family run. If you are looking for a 4-star North American standard place then go elsewhere. BUT, this place is really excellent value for the price charged!

Very cheap, clean hotel with a lovely shower - very hot. Good location for getting to places, with a metro station not too far away. We never actually made it down in time for the free breakfast so I can't say anything about that! Staff were helpful and it was all in all a good stay on a budget.
