Spent 2 nights here and was so glad to find a spacious room, clean comfy bed and a good shower. I was a little miffed they didn't provide complimentary bottled water...but they more than made up for it with the very thoughtful housekeeping...to the extent of washing the pair of socks I had left beside my sneakers. Impressed.

One thing we liked is the breakfast. It's more on the Chinese side but the taste was very delicious and authentic. Datong's food is well known and our breakfast confirmed it. Recommend the daoxiaomian, among many others. The room was nice and the price was very affordable with breakfast included.

Good price for nice familly room with breakfast included but no one at the reception speaks english! So you won't get any help here. We gave our reservation all was there (2 room for 2 nights, dates) first night was OK just to hot in the rooms - there was no way to lower temperature. Next day after we came... More

We stayed for 3 nights and most of the staff doesn't speak english. We tried to order food but the room service attendant didn't speak english. Until we found the customer relationship manager Victor, we had a hard time trying to communicate at the hotel. But Victor was very helpful in every little thing. We need to go to a... More

We visited Datong from 21st- 23rd December 2014. On the 1st night of our stay at this hotel, we were complaining about how hot the hotel room is and the svs staff heard it and brought us barley drinks that she brewed to help cool us. The next day I left my torned trousers on the desk in the morning,... More

As travel agents travelling on a FAM we were moving fast so accommodations were late arriving usually after dark. For this reason I can't say what the location was like . The hotel itself felt new and beside the fact that we arrived around 9:30, hungry and their restaurant/bar and room service were not open, it was a beautiful hotel.... More

This is the best hotel throughout our tour to Shanxi. It is spacious and new. There is not much next to the hotel. Wifi was stable, there was toiletries and heater in the room. We enjoyed the sitting area.

Hotel is relatively new. Rooms are decent sized. We were given a two bedroom suite. Comfortable sleep. Toilet is good enough as compared to horrible ones I have stayed in. Breakfast has a good spread - the best so far in my 11 day vacation and among the 8 hotels that I moved around. Free wifi too..

For Americans traveling to China, this large hotel with large guest rooms represents a great value. I did find the carpet in my guest room was very stained, the air conditioning didn't sufficiently cool the room, and housekeeping was inconsistent. One guest in my party couldn't adjust the water temperature in the shower. Very few staff members speak English so... More

Found the hotel on ctrip with the help of a local colleauge in China. http://hotels.ctrip.com/hotel/436531.html Price for a room with three beds was 550Y/night in the October holiday which must be considered good (being a public holiday!) The breakfast was ok and even had western alternatives like cereals, espresso and others. Good indeed! Would not hesitate to stay there again... More
