People is nice and want to help and please but almost nobody speaks a minimum english... Asking for a room service can be a 3 or 4 intents and ends up with somebody coming to your room to see in the menu what you want... Location is great, by the beach and other attractions... Rooms renovated but not the mattress......

The room was clean, modern and well fitted. I was only there overnight and so did not experience any other facilities. Staff were very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to a foreign business traveller visiting Qingdao.

The temperatures in Qingdao in July can reach 100 deg. F. with a humidity level through the roof. Super clean and green city with very friendly residents. The hotel is located away from the downtown area, near the beach area. Upon entering the spacious lobby, the past and fading glory of this once elegant property screams out. As you walk...

This hotel was pleasing, rooms are big, double bed was huge which I always find a positive thing for a hotel, people were very kind I had a little trouble with hot water but it was immediately attended! I don't like much carpets on rooms specially if the hotel has been open for many years but is some thing you...

The location of the hotel is good for Laoshan based activities, minimising traffic to/ from town. The district now has a range of restaurants. The hotel continues to age, the breakfast gets simpler every year. I assume management might be ready for a refresh. I believe there are better options nearby and worth checking out, offering better rooms, service and...

I spent two weeks at this hotel. My first impressions of the interior was that it was a little dated. However, the rooms themselves are not dated, they are clean, well kept and just what I'd expect from a high-standard hotel. After two weeks I could have found lots of faults but in fact the opposite happened. I came to...

You would normally be travelling to Qingdao for a business reason because a Kiwi would not be there for the beach, but the beach is close and a nice for a walk. The hotel is reasonable dated but has good location within walking distance to the Exhibitions that are organised here, be it the beer festive or a motor shop....
