My 2nd stay in Shangri-la Dalian (after my 1st stay here in July 2019), and it was another great stay. With things back to normal in China, I did not feel much difference from my 1st stay. Room was comfortable and cosy -- clean and tidy every evening when I returned to the room. Staff was nice and the breakfast was super! The only thing I think can be improved is the ventilation in the breakfast restaurant... As the breakfast include some delicious fried food, there is always some oily smell in the air - you start to worry about the smell of your cloth for the business meeting later.

The Shangri La Dalian is a first class five star hotel, probably one of the best I have ever stayed in. I stayed there for many months on business and I would rate the facilities and staff as the best I have ever exerienced anywhere in the world. Highly recommended.

I had a great 3 night stay from12-15 July 2022. 1. Jennifer Ning was part of my arrival Q and A, helping me with all the necessary formalities relating to COVID-19 were sorted. Brilliant. 2. A conveniently located hotel with easy access to the Dalian railway station. 1. A great base from which to explore the beaches in Dalian. 2. The Concierge can prepare a list of things to see. Very useful. The list contains places in Chinese to help with taxis. 3. Book a club room for better levels of service and exclusivity. 4. The front desk check-in and check-out was excellent. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. The overall appearance of the hotel was excellent. I booked a superior room which was spacious, clean, and elegant. The bathroom was modern and very clean. No problems with toilet flushing or sink not draining properly. The room also came with free bottled water and a fresh fruit dish which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast buffet at the iCafe restaurant was excellent. There were many food choices to choose from and the overall quality of the food was superb. The dining room staff paid attention to every detail and performed their duties in a highly professional manner. This hotel has a sports bar called THE SWING. This facility needs a lot of work. The bar opens at 5:30 pm. I entered this bar at approximately 6 pm and had to wait for about 10 minutes for a bartender to show up. They have a full size pool table but it is very poorly maintained. It was not assembled properly and the cue sticks need to be fixed. I was there during "Happy Hour" and drinks were advertised as 50% off. When I asked for my bill, I was initially charged the full price. After complaining, I received my discount which made my visit satisfactory. My overall experience at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dalian was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay at this hotel in the future.…

The best accommodation and service i have ever experienced. Hotel facilities are very classy and elegant. Rooms (1404) are spacious and cozy. The hotel staff are very friendly and hospitable. Housekeeping by 张亚娟 is superb as she is very attentive to my needs big or small and making sure I have fresh fruits everyday making my stay in Dalian very unforgettable. Breakfast buffet was sumptuous. Doorman aka "Dalian Yao Ming" is very friendly and courteous. Worth coming back in the near future!
