Our first visit to Shangri-La Suzhou and we were not disappointed first class accommodation and very helpful and friendly staff sas we expect from Shangri-La group we were in the horizon suite higher level with great views of city great breakfast and dinner buffet great value
Just so you know there’s two Shangri-La in Suzhou alone. Our stay there way wonderful! Very friendly and attentive. They couldn’t have been more helpful! The rooms were quite comfortable and clean. They speak perfect English which is definitely a good thing for international tourists. Strongly recommended!
This is first time I came to Suzhou and as a fans of shangrila I choose to stay shangrila Suzhou . The location is very convenient and service is excellent as usual . Me and my family really had enjoyable stay with Shang and definitely will back to this city because of Shangrila .
I arrived in Shangri-la Suzhou at approximately 4pm. I was not even greeted by the front desk. I assume that she(Jane) was the manager as she was in a suit and a badge indicating her role as a manager unlike other staff, but Jane was very unprofessional and rude. The way she got my attention to go up to the front desk was like calling her pet dog with her hand gestures. Her disgusting attitude towards the guests is totally unacceptable and spoiled my mood for my entire business trip. Also my room reeked of the smell of cigarette even though i was on a non-smoking level. I also felt like there was no security as the lifts in the hotel did not require any form of key card to be tapped before being able to go up. Therefore anyone could simply go up to any level, causing a breach in security. It was an utterly disgusting and disappointing visit to Suzhou Shangri-la, i would not come back again.…
Shabby 5 star hotel ever!! Staff at front desk are not obliging and do not treat their guest nicely - shouting at customers in face their face? really? Is that how a 5 star hotel service should be? Bedsheet are being changed everyday, however, yellow spots and stains can be found on the bedsheet. I requested for a non-smoking level but was given a malodorous level due to the heavy pungent of cigarette and the carpet which i assume they do not vacuum. Shangri-La is an international brand which has established its brand hallmark of 'hospitality from the heart', absolutely crestfallen. Hospitality was not even serve from the heart, compared to other Shangri-La hotels i have been to, this is the WORSE HOTEL EVER. Just shut it down.
