This hostel is very popular cos of guidebook recommendations. They hit most of the right spots. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location just slightly more difficult to find yet fairly secured. It's a little pricey (I paid RMB 60) in considering it is the low season. Shower was hot yet without power. Didn't join any of their tours as I...

We didn't book a tour which seems to be their main operation. If you can't get to Mongolia or Gansu, take a tour from them, but stay elsewhere. The place is filthy; it looks like the bathrooms haven't been cleaned in months. The beds were uncomfortable and the bunks we stayed in (not in the main house) felt as if...

I joined the 3 day tour, grassland, dessert and temple, was great, Rose was an amazing tourguide, all 3 days were good organized, horse, camel riding, it is a perfect short escape from work if you don't have enough time to go more to the west or organize a trip by yourself, good price deal!

Anda Guesthouse was very flexible and allowed us to opt for a combination of the 1D1N Grassland Tour and 2D1N Desert Tour instead of the 3D2N Grassland & Desert Tour because we wanted to experience camping in both the grassland and desert. Anda Guesthouse was very prompt and clear in their email replies. They answered all the questions we had...

We stayed at Anda in April this year and would have to give it a very mixed review. On the plus side....as with any guest house/hostel situation it was a great place to meet and easily chat to other travellers. Also, Anda arranged our trip out to the Inner Mongolian Yurt/Ger which was absolutely fantastic and the most authentic, low-key,non-...

Common areas are nice, English speaking stuff, very nice owner. Rooms are a bit simple, shared bathroom with weak water stream. We did the overnight tour to the grasslands which was very nice but expensive and not completely authentic (we were staying in Mongolian yurts but didn't see or interact with any of them)

We did the one night one day grassland tour with a 6 and 11 year old. We stayed in a yurt, rode horses and an ATV, shot arrows, ate Mongolian food, interacted with Mongolians, toured a temple or two, and sang songs around a campfire made of Cow pies we collected under a perfect night sky. It was good. To...

We didn't stay at the guesthouse in Hohhot itself. Instead, we took the 2 day tour to the grasslands and the desert. They picked us up from the train station - for free - and were very friendly towards us. When we arrived in the grasslands we saw a couple of very tourist camps with many yurts alongside one another...

Inner Mongolia is a wonderful place to visit if you like vast landscapes. There are not many tourists which is really enjoyable. Anda Guest House let us choose between 4 different activities which are done in one day each. Grasslands and desert are a must to do. Unfortunately, they don't provide a lot to this experience, it's expensive comparing to...
