My husband and I stayed here Nov. 2014 for an adoption trip. I don't have ridiculously high expectations; in fact, I'm a pretty low-maintenance traveler. My only real requisite is cleanliness, which was lacking, at least in the room we stayed in. The price we paid to stay at the hotel was relatively inexpensive. The free Internet was appreciated, and... More

The only thing a little bit bothersome is the long walkway entrance from the main street to the hotel. Its seems always under construction as I stayed the hotel for a few times. My friends drove over to pick me up so it is okay. Everything else is great. Room, bed, shower, bathtub are all huge and comfortable. Wifi works... More

If you want street food, shopping or nightlife, this is not the place to stay. It doesn't have much of anything around it and the only thing going for it was the reasonable room rate and the convenience of a subway station at its doorstep (which was important to me). It is located at the exchange between the 2 main... More

My husband and I along with our 6 year old recently stayed at the Poly Hotel while on an adoption trip. We have heard very mixed reviews about this hotel and were hearing more negative than positive so we were a little nervous about our stay. The thing that made us enjoy this hotel and the reason we would return... More

I stayed for 2 nights and I found it OK. Not expensive and room was pretty good. It's just 100 yards from a subwat station and thus I found it convenient. Internet was good. The swimming pool was for kids. Think this is a reasonably good choice for those intend to stay in Wuchang. But then you find an ash... More

We usually stay at nearby Best Western Mayflowers but decided to try something different. The family stayed here years ago when it was called White Rose. We did not return because of the smoke throughout the hotel and it seems it was the preferred place military and government officers brought their mistresses. The hotel has improved since then but it... More

Good Location! I visit the Chinese Academy of Science on a regular basis, and this is where I usually decide to stay. It is about a 1.5 km walk to the academy. Other hotels may be closer, but I like to be comfortable and this hotel aims to be comfortable. First of all, the hotel is about 100 m from... More

We chose to stay at the White Rose Hotel when we took our nine year old daughter back to visit her birth country, because this was the hotel we stayed at for the adoption. At that time, the White Rose definitely catered to this niche traveler. Not anymore! There are no play areas for the children. There is no dedicated... More

We stayed in the White Rose during a multi-city tour of China. I believe they are changing their name over to the Poly Hotel. Much of their materials are branded The White Rose Poly Hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. This would be a very nice, romatic place to stay for a couple. The bathroom wall is curved glass, and... More
