The Novotel I have ever been to. Despite its very good location close to Xibeihu, the decoration and the equipment are very old fashion. Room and bathroom were pretty small for a 5 star hotel in China. Air conditioning is blowing very strongly even on the lowest speed. Reception service has been pretty poor at the check in and check... More

The building is literally falling down. The rooms are old and grubby. The staff are utterly inefficient. The joker on reception who was checking me in, was interrupted three times by other "guests" with requests. He left me, tended to their obviously more urgent needs. When He tried this a fourth time, I told him to finish with me first.... More

We travelled to Wuhan beginning of June for a weekend break and chose Novotel. As our flight was delayed, we arrived to the hotel around 2am feeling very tired. During check-in, we were told that our booking could not be found and that they didn't have our details. We were asked to show our booking details but as I didn't... More

was here for one week. French hotel chain, was a bit dated but clean and well managed and good value. english speaking staff, all very helpful. location was good and even better if you get a room overlooking one of the 166 lakes surrounding Wuhan.Easy access everywhere by cheap taxis. many eateries locally.

Stayed here while on a 2 day conference. A nice hotel with attractive reception area. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. I would say 5 star is a generous description, but it's definitely good value for money and staff are professional and helpful. I got a buffet breakfast included, also quite nice.

Nice and convenient hotel located 10 minutes on foot from Wangjiadun east underground station and A109 mall. Rooms are well furnished, but a bit noisy until late evening due to 2 main roads passing closely (noise coming from cars horns). Breakfast is very good and staff is kind and speaks some english. Bed is very comfortable.

Old hotel and the room is rather small... standard service, and very bad wifi (was at 7th floor) and the internet was super slow and difficult to connect ........nothing special with this hotel, and its very traffic jam to go will not come back again.

Stayed two nights during a business trip. Rooms are clean, which is most important. Wifi was ok and for free. Overall the hotel has seen its best days already. Gym and pool are old. Breakfast was crowded and it took long until they refilled the food. No shoe spoon in the room.

There are many hotels like this throughout China. Hotels that promise so much. Says it's a Novotel but it's not the quality of a Novotel in other countries around the world. It is still a very nice hotel. Comfortable. Clean. Well appointed. Would recommend but only compared to other options in the same price range.
