The Mahayana has kept up with its Buddhist theme in every way. They had Meditation robes, buddhist sandals etc in the room. Our favorite was the whole herbal tea making set. There were so many stirrers and all we didn't know they were supposed to be used for. It was the typical authentic Chinese way of making tea!! They also had this whole painting thing going on. They had rice(I think) paper, some black paint, some brushes etc. You are supposed to paint some Chinese characters.
The bathroom had lavender salts to soak in after a long day.
The mattress wasn't soft enough. The hotel only has 2 floors and is in a secluded spot on the top of a mountain with no exceptional view to boast of. But to get up to the huge beautiful Budhha statue was again in keeping with the Budhhist theme of the hotel, I guess. And we didn't mind it at all.
