The new menu triggered my tasting buds to go to Amoy restaurant after a long while. I just went for the set lunch. The cappuccino mushroom soup gravitated my attention as sounded intriguing. The dish came with a white peaked foam on a pool of delicious mushroom soup. Followed was the beef stew with a dollop of mash potato beautifully presented in a special red pan with a graceful touch of herbs. The good taste tempted me to try the cod fish. Needless to say It was the highlight of the meal! It’s so rewarding to see a great service from happy waiters. Couldn’t leave without trying the tiramisu. Oh, so fluffy and light presented in a mini cutie jar.... licked the last bit on the sides. Definitely worth coming back to try some more dishes.

We had an enjoyable stayed at the Studio King Room for 4 nights during our holiday trip . Excellent hotel design was putting in every detail by the architect & interior designer. The guest room have a spacious space and very well decorated . The staff are friendly and are always eager to help. Special thanks to Annie , Yoyo ,Scarlett from the wellness facilities. We had joined a delightful morning yoga class every morning during our stay . Also a clam time experiencing Tibetan singing bowl in the evening . After every class Annie our sweet teacher ,she spent time to explain and answer our questions . We have the opportunity to shared our experience while sipping a warm tea with full of heartwarming talk . I felt more energy and strength after back to work in town. On my last day without requested ,Yoyo kindly sent a ginger tea to my room after she knew that I had an upset stomach. I would like to also thanks Winnie for an Art tour , Tea master for offered a tea ceremony ,front desk staffs for assist to get a ticket around Xiamen . Overall we had a great time in Xiamen definitely will be back once spa is ready . Strongly recommended Lohkah hotel to everyone .

We stayed at the studio for two nights facing the bay and a splendid view of the city. The resort used to be called PuShang and was part of the Urban Resorts group that also runs the PuLi in Shanghai and RuMa in KL. Under a new owner it’s called LohKah. Sanskrit for Universe. Great attention has been made by the architect and designers to details such as keeping a modern design aesthetic to Minnan art forms. Think Kerry Hill and a touch of Aman. With hints of Southern Fujian art forms. Example red brick , red and gold roof finials and ancient root carvings. Service is impeccable. There are two restaurants one serving breakfast and Xia their flagship Chinese restaurant that has Guangdong and Hokkien dishes. The breakfast buffet has a noodle bar as well as congee and dimsum. The rooms boast top notched Toto Japanese latrines bidet with auto flush and self lifting covers. Architecturally I salute the firm from Australia LAYAN who has done a splendid job in design and making Chinese modernism a by word for mainland hotels.

Dear choobengg2017, Thank you for your review and we are delighted to know of your appreciation for the design of our hotel. The design concept combines contemporary aesthetics with inspired influences of Xiamen’s cultural heritage, providing an unparalleled setting for guests to embark on a journey of self-discovery, relaxation and rejuvenation. In collaboration with Australian design firm LAYAN DESIGN GROUP and lighting design firm THE FLAMING BEACON, the hotel’s design exemplifies Lohkah’s principles of a luxuriously understated and soothing aesthetic through a modernist space, uniquely crafted using only the finest materiality and rooted in Xiamen’s cultural heritage. We look forward to welcoming you back to Xiamen and your home away from home at Lohkah Hotel & Spa. With best regards Francesco Pantalone / Managing Director

strange because the bed felt comfortable enough, but every single time i turned sideways i could hear my heart pounding ... perhaps something to do with the mix of pillows and mattress. no spa at the moment and they started the drilling work 8:30 in the morning ... strange management decision to get the work done no matter what. would have been nice to know in advance, in the form of a message on the website would be adequate. staff were all courteous but needed to be served well before serving well. breakfast and dinner were good, but please make it enjoyable. perhaps the strangest of the strange was when we walked into a tearoom where everything was immaculately displayed. while admiring the beauty of the room a girl walked in. instead of welcoming us and tempting us to try its tea, she showed somewhat displeased as if we were intruders and we disturbed the undisturbable. btw most of the rooms face each other and only a handful enjoyed views and privacy.

One of the best hotels I've been at ✨(And trust me, I work in the luxury hotels industry) The room was stunning with a gorgeous view and such a classy decoration. Everything was pretty new and the room was very spacious with a high ceiling. I also really liked breakfast as there were a lot of specialities from Xiamen. The staff was especially friendly (and effective) : A special thanks to Layne from the Concierge and Lucy from Breakfast : they really know how to make you feel special and they naturally give special attention like remembering your preferences ! I would also like to thank Wills, Judy, Angie and Joyce for their hospitality !
