We asked for a non smoking room and they put us on a smoking room. A woman was screaming in the corridor and we found rubbish in the rooms. The food isnt very good and the furniture is outdated. I wouldnt stay here there are better places.
Stayed there for a night back in January. To me this is a pretty good hotel. The location is right downtown, it’s convenient to get around. The price was cheap as well. The rooms was average sized. My room had pretty good view. Lovely new year decorations. The buffet dinner looked plentiful. Too bad there’s no bartenders around due to the Chinese New Year.
Stayed there while exploring the city of Fuzhou with family. Had an amazing stay at Shangri la Fuzhou. The hotel is very well located. Close proximity to malls and restaurant. Very nice and professional front desk. We booked for 2 nights, but we had to leave after one night due to some last minute decisions. We were actually very surprised that they let us go without charging us for the second night. That’s a nice gesture. As a fellow hotelier, I cannot do that unless it’s under some extreme circumstances. They even gave us face masks as it was the beginning of the corona virus outbreak.
Because of my delegation work, I stay in Shangri-La for a long term. Since I arrived at my suite, it has been kept always clean, clear and cosy. Thanks a lot for the work from Dongzhen (Anna), who is responsible for cleaning my suite. She is very nice and professional. Everytime I came back from business trip or vacation, she kept the room just like I hadn't left. Sometime I have to work in room, she always adjust her working time with my free time so that I wouldn't be bothered. I remember that for one time I was still sleeping in the early morning; one guest would open my door with his card because he remembered a wrong room number, Dongzhen (Anna) saw him in front of my door and kindly reminded him of checking his room number. Dongzhen told me the story later as she met me and just like a very small thing. For me it's so warm and sweet. I appreciated for her hard working and kind mind. I am so glad to live in this floor and know her. I think everyone in house keeping of Shangri-La is professional, responsible and kind. Wish them Happy Chinese New Year. Situated at the city centre with Wuyi Square and a small shopping mall behind the hotel. Location is convenient for taxi or Metro (Nanmendou Station) to many places. Check in at front desk is fast and efficient. Room is clean and appropriate size although interior looks slightly dated. Breakfast has good varieties but some young service staff were not really attentive in clearing plates. The waitress who received us was also less helpful and insisted to charge walk-in rate when front desk made a mistake on the breakfast booking for 2 instead of 4 persons. Rightfully she should just check with front desk opposite the cafe and not asked us to clarify ourselves. Other than that, our stay at the ShangriLa was good and our appreciation to the front desk and concierge staff in providing useful information. …
