The highs - Architecturally it is an interesting building. Comfortable beds. Delicious dinner and adequate breakfast. The lows - the different buildings on the property are separated which means you have to walk outside in gusting winds or through a frigid walkway to get from the restaurant, reception or spa to your room -not pleasant. No hot water in the...

Let me start with the good. Remota is located on the edge of town and is truly beautiful on the inside. The architecture is unique and the furnishings are very fitting for the location. The breakfast buffet is adequate but not over the top. The pool area is very pretty and a unique feature to the hotel. The service as...

This has to be one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. It is gorgeous, blending in with its surroundings well, providing beautiful views over the sound and to the las torres in the distance. The attention to detail in the furnishings and fittings is quite exquisite. The use of wood in the rooms is beautiful and the...

The hotel is uniquely designed and tranquil where room space is aplenty with nice view overlooking the fiords and mountains. In the room there is no TV with almost no wifi reception (good signal in the lobby and restaurant though...probably to detach guests from modern technology?) Breakfast is good and the view is once again, amazing. There is an indoor...

An architectural surprise in the wilderness. The design is all about blending into nature. Each room has a view of the bay, while the buildings slope along the landscape, blending into the granite rocks. 3-hundred year old wooden planks with the bark still intact decorates your room walls. In an area often battling wind and rain, the airiness of the...

Sorry folks, this one will be a bit long ! Yes, the architecture is interesting. But it is obvious that the architect never slept there, as he did not manage to be original AND practical and comfortable ! So, no, this place is definitively not worth the stiff price. Rooms are original, lovely view and size ok, bathroom small with...

The Remota hotel is a spectacular architectural masterpiece. The rooms are quaint and beautifully done and the food is a buffet but extraordinary. The daily excursions are very well done with professional guides taking you to unbelievably beautiful places. Remota prefers to not put a label on itself, but to be "different" and beyond classification. Unfortunately, that might be their problem. When you arrive, you realise it is not a design hotel, it is not a boutique hotel and it is certainly not a luxury hotel, despite the price tag. The service is adequate but impersonal and lacking in...

Dear Remota is a hotel whose construction was inspired by a sheep shearing barn, a typical building in Patagonia, designed to be friendly with the environment and not to interfere in it, all our theme seeks to highlight Patagonia itself, which is why we have wood in the rooms, ligth lighting and everything that represents the hotel is an invitation...

We stayed at this hotel for several days in order to access Torres del Paine National Park. This hotel is labeled upscale in the area. It has an attractive architectural design incorporating light wood, glass, concrete, stone and other natural materials, providing open space on several levels, with nice seating arrangements for relaxation in earth tones. I enjoyed that part...
