amazing, every detail and aspect of the hotel were way beyond expectation, landscape, installations, service and incredible cousin. The staff proving all time an outstanding service and rooms with a super water front view
I had to change pre-Covid plans to go on to El Calafate/El Chalten as by the time we were able to take the trip, land border crossings were not allowed. I thought I might be bored spending an extra three nights in Puerto Natales, but staying at the Singular was an amazing choice. I chose the Singular because it's the only luxury hotel in the area that did not require full board and excursions packages. Having completed the W Trek prior to the stay, I had already been to many sights and wanted to just relax. The room - we spent many hours here, just watching the view of the sound. It was incredibly serene and the changing winds, sky and wildlife felt like watching an aquarium! In my moments of stress, I will recall laying in that comfortable bed watching the view. Room is large, with a chair, desk with TV (not that we ever thought to turn it on) and small secretary desk which had some awesome historical pictures on it. Stocked minifridge with complementary waters and sodas was nice. Bathroom was a dream. LOVED the heated floors. Bathtub was amazing (had a few soaks) and the rain showerhead had enough pressure to luxuriously envelop you. Facilities are breath taking! I highly recommend taking the Cold Storage tour offered to understand the history of the building and its impact on the local economy. I very much appreciated that the information provided didn't sugar-coat the atrocities done to the native people of the area. Yes, it's not pretty, but you can't learn about it if you don't acknowledge it. Big thank you to Mauro, our guide! Spa was lovely. Had a great (extremely affordable by US standards) massage. I read in lounge chairs overlooking the pool while my partner got his massage. Peaceful. Lovely. Breakfast service is amazing. Those muffins.... I STILL think about those muffins! Lots of choices made for a luxurious experience with hot items available to order. I always dismiss a complementary breakfast as something that can be an afterthought for hotels, but Singular made it one of the highlights. We had dinner there twice - more due to convenience, but lovely meals, nonetheless. I had the merzula twice (two different preparations) and loved it despite not being a big fan of fish. And while the prices were high by Chilean standards, by US, it was a steal. Mountain bikes are available free of charge to guests - which gave us the flexibility to ride into town. It's a bit over three miles away, but with a bike lane along the water, it's very easy to do. Everything above makes Singular a great hotel. What pushes it to the next level is the level of service. The entire staff is bright and interested in your enjoyment of your stay, without being intrusive. Mathias at the bell station greeted us every day with a smile and willingness to help. Mathias at the front desk answered questions, helped to arrange spa treatments and engaged us warmly each and every time we passed. Valeria at breakfast made sure we were taken care of and even slipped me another muffin in a napkin for the road on my last day (thank you!!!). The staff seems genuinely happy to be there and it made our stay simply wonderful! And god bless them for putting up with my attempts to speak Spanish! I would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend it highly to friends. I wish I was back there now! Every bit a world class luxury hotel, but incredible warmth instead of stuffiness! Do not hesitate to stay here!…
I will be eternally grateful to all the staff that received and assisted us during our stay, Verónica, Franco, Valeria and many others whose names I do not remember but I know were there to make this visit unforgettable. Thank you very much for your willingness to achieve the goal!! My now future wife was amazed at everything and we will really be eternally grateful for everything they did for us. We are already planning the wedding and seeing availability at The Singular, but this time Santiago (if you have the contact please send it to me). I really don't know how to express how happy we were with the stay in words, if it were otherwise, it would be with a very tight hug, thanking them for making my wife's marriage proposal come true. We will return, no matter what we will return.…
The rooms were comfortable (with a view) and the wonderful historic site was beautifully set on the water. Service was outstanding. Staff were friendly, polite, and eager to assist. Most were bilingual. A delicious breakfast was included. Restaurant and bar menus were delicious although we did get a cab ($5) into town one night for dinner there, which I highly recommend. We took two excursions (arranged by the hotel) to see the fjords by boat and glaciers by van and foot, which was very worth while. It is a 3 hr van ride from the airport, but worth it. We were with a bicycling group of 18 and they accommodated us all well.
This Singular is a self contain resort with organized tours to the surrounding mountains, lakes, and glaciers. All levels of difficulties. Meals are delicious and staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms and dining areas have beautiful views and are kept clean at all times. Internet service was useable thru out the facility. Will return someday.
Outstanding service, polite people, excellent facilities. My idea was to celebrate our 35 years of anniversary with my wife, and it was a great experience. It was not our first time here, and certainly it will not the last.
Everything was great, it was an amazing experience. The building and its history, the polite service, the beautiful room, the view, the free bikes, the amenities. I highly recommend the boat trip around the fiords.
We stayed at the Singular after finishing the W Trek. The hotel has been designed around the building’s former status as a cold storage plant. The design is impeccable and there’s even a museum to commemorate the history of the hotel. All of the staff were particularly attentive- they remembered our room number and that it was our anniversary. The views from our room (and throughout the hotel) were incredible, and we had a chance to visit the spa and restaurant as well - both of which were perfect. One of our most relaxing hotel stays! The hotel is about 5 minutes from the Puerto Natales downtown, 5 min from the airport, and about 10 min from the bus terminal.
Great room, outstanding service, amazing food, great excursions. Best hotel in Chile located in Patagonia which is one of the top places in Chile to visit. The hotel is located 10 minutes from the airport.
The Singular is not a bad hotel per se but when you spend almost 2000$ per night you expect something special and this is definitely not the case. Everything is absolutely standardized, rooms all look the same very impersonal with no special amenity. Service is even worse, I asked pineapple and mango for breakfast and I was told it was not possible as they only had the pre-prepared fruit salad. Again this is totally fine in a 3 star hotel but absolutely unacceptable in a 5 star hotel charging you these prices. Food in general is nothing special, very basic. Coming from AWASI this was a big disappointment to us, had we known we would had stayed longer in AWASI
