Thanks for the review supporting our efforts to achieve our 6th successive Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor. We do our best, go the extra miles but sometimes even that is not enough to satisfy all guests expectations. Your review recharges our enthusiasm to maintain the hostal and make even greater efforts to improve what our humble hostal offers to... More

Dirt on every light fixture (if working), window, and ventilation grille. 'Public' kitchen was filthy! Especially the cooking units and counters. Pots, pans, dishes were all old, left behind by others. 'Men's dorm was very stuffy, without usable window (1 only) for ventilation. 'Air coniditoner' only filled the room with a fog of moisture that probably promotes 'legionaire's disease'. Breakfast... More

Our family of 6 stayed at Suuny Days on our way from Chile to Peru. We arrived to the city early in the morning, and after warning off pickpockets at the bus station arrived at the hostal (a short 5 minute walk from the bus station), unannounced to see if they had space for us. We were greeted by the... More

We were welcomed as soon as we got in and sat down for Breakfast despite the fact we only stayed one night we ate 2 Breakfasts and the Breakfast here is really good, there was fresh bread, cheese, fruits and a decent cup of Tea to boot! The hostel is a lot larger than it looks with several common rooms,... More

We thank the guest for their review. Sunny Days hostal is a 30 minute walk (10 minutes ina micro bus) from the city center but only 5 minutes walk from the bus terminal and Chinchorro Beach. Our breakfast is "all you can eat" which puts us ahead of most Chilean hostals plus you get to select a choice to eat.... More

Arrived late Friday night tired from a flight, but could not sleep due to loud music playing next door until 4am. The next day a marching band was practicing at a school next door, so we were still not able to rest. The loud music also returned Saturday night. Other problems with the hostal included a lack of constant hot... More

Sometimes things don't work out as our guests would like. This just happened to be one of those occassions. Chileans are noisy people and Friday & Saturday nights are when they relax and make the most of life. Don't go to the disco before 1am there will be nobody there - likewise a house party. The party music goes full... More

We stayed one night and were charged 11,000 per person for dorm room, even though some websites quoted 9,000. Decent enough hostel but very quiet so mainly good for a rest. Not a lot to do in Arica in general unless you're a dedicated surfer. Iquique (4 hours south) is much nicer if you're looking for a relaxing couple of... More

We thank “bethglarivill” for the review. Sunny Days is not a party hostal, Arica is a laid back sea side beach resort and our hostal objective is to provide a place that feels like home for travellers to relax from the stress of travel. Guests enter and say wow “It just feels like home!” so they stay not one night... More

Arriving from Arequipa, this is a perfect hostel to just get the feel of how Chile is going to hit your budget. Supermarket only a short walk away and there's fruit and veg market with a food area for lunch. Arica is not that big and with the map and 'things to do' list provided by the owners, there's plenty... More

First off the owners are very friendly and they greet you with juice and cake while you are settling in and filling out your paper work. You are also left with places to visit and things to do, along with a map and help tips. You must go to the port and go out for a boat ride followed by... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Sunny Days! The hosts, a couple from New Zealand and Chile, are just lovely and really contributed to making this stay exceptional.
