‘Damrei’ in the Khmer language is the word for ‘Elephant’, a creature that played a major role in the ancient Khmer Empire. Damrei Angkor Hotel pays respects to this beautiful beast in and around the hotel. Newly opened in October 2015, this beautiful 54-rooms, 4-stars hotel is perfectly located for visitors to Siem Reap. The magnificent temples at Anchor Archaeological Complex, where you will visit the unforgettable Angkor Wat, are a short, 10-minute tuk tuk ride away. Siem Reap town and its large choice of restaurants, bars and shopping is all a short walk from the hotel, or you can use one of our dedicated, polite tuk tuk drivers. The facilities at the Damrei Angkor Hotel are second-to-none. After a hot, sticky day at the temples, relax by our salt-water swimming pool with a cold beer or a cocktail at the poolside bar. After a busy day shopping in the nearby markets, indulge in one of our many sumptuous Mtes Spa treatments or just relax on the Erawan Terrace. Our Aira Restaurant ca

Detailed Reviews
We stayed at this new hotel for 3 nights and we loved it!
Their staff were friendly and helpful! I had an incident where I lost my phone at a resort where I signed up for an activity. The staff helped me to call the resort and got me on a tuk tuk to get my phone back (phew!). They later called that evening to make sure I came back to the hotel safely. Their assistant sales manger was super helpful and nice every time we had a question.
Our room was spacious and kept very clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. When housekeeping was requested, they cleaned our room quickly. Shower, sink, and toilet are separated at the back of the room and it's very modern. TV was equipped with multilingual channels. I was able to watch a MLB baseball game on a Taiwan channel. It has a lovely balcony that overlooked the entrance foyer.
The swimming pool definitely is a highlight. We enjoyed getting some sun on the pool side. There's a pool side bar but we weren't sure about its hours. The only cons about the amenities is that I tried to use the fitness room and I don't know if it was air conditioned. The weather was extremely hot and I didn't want to work out in a room without air con.
Breakfast was delicious at the restaurant! It provides a variety of asian food (soup noodles, congee, rice) and western food (pancakes, suasage, cheese). The lunch menu at the restaurant is also reasonably priced. Beer was $3 and main entrees were around $7 - 10. Still cheaper than some upscale restaurants on pub street. We ordered fried frog legs as appetizer, amok fish, and pad thai. Everything was delicious.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap. We had a great time!

The Demrei is a relatively new hotel situated centrally and only a $2 Tuk Tuk ride away from Old Market and the city centre.
We booked this hotel after a disaster stay in another Hotel and we desperately needed some rest.
The manager was responsive and incredibly helpful and within 2 minutes of our booking on hotelscombined he emailed me and organised to pick us up from our other Hotel. Within 30 minutes we were booked in and settled in our new rooms on the 4th floor.
The Hotel is beautifully appointed, the pool is lovely and clean, the restaurant serves excellent food and the staff are fantastic.
This is a hidden oasis in the centre of Siem Reap and made our last few days of our holiday memorable, relaxing and perfect.
I would highly recommend this hotel for both business and pleasure. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the pillows are soft and the service is fantastic.

we were there for 2 days. We had requested for an early checkin as our flight landed in morning only, but it could not be granted though they took care in offering us their general restroom and lobby to freshen up. when we got our room , it was pretty clean with all the essential amenities. good supporting staff, central location with walking distance to central market. Breakfast was ok, not very good for vegetarians but you cannot ask for more in a country like Cambodia. A beautiful replica of Angkor Wat temple is well decorated in lawn with good photo opportunity.

+1
Bon accueil.

We stayed here for 4 nights and were happy with the service we received.
The rooms have everything you’d need. It was big and clean with a cheap minibar. The bed was really hard but still comfortable. The bathroom was clean, the towels fairly small and the shower could do with some more power. Overall for the price we paid, we were happy with what we got.
Breakfast was fine. The fruit was the best part of it. It was fairly uninspiring but absolutely fine, fresh and always something to choose.
The pool area is fairly small but great for a dip in to cool off. The local food we had around the pool was great but the pizza was terrible. Suppose you learn what to eat in Cambodia.
The staff were fab. They were really helpful with booking trips and had a great sense of humour. Definitely the best asset the hotel has.
We walked to pub street each night and it was a great walk. Really not that far.
Overall we were really happy with the service and accommodation considering the price we paid.

Whilst the Hotel is set back from the main streets it did not disappoint. In a quiet street, the gardens were beautiful and the staff exceptionally friendly. Our superior room was beautiful, very modern and very large. We had all our meals at the hotel and often the only ones in the restaurant. The meals were the best we had on our trip even the bread was made by the chef. Staff made us feel like the family and were very helpful in every way with a free shuttle back to the airport on departure. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Damrei (meaning elephant) Angkor Hotel and would given the opportunity stay there again. A mini mart 100m on corner nearby.

Great stay. The hotel grounds are beautiful and offers a sense of serenity from what is the organised chaos that is Cambodia. The staff were great and went at length to explain to me what's around and where is the best places to visit. The room was great and modern (I think this is a newly built hotel) the location was great and was a short ride away from Pub street.
The breakfast was the best I have had. So many quality options.

Regarding Angkor Wat Temple.
The hotel can organise your tours with a tuk tuk, taxi or Bus but for your entrance passes you will need to go to Angkor Wat to purchase your entrance tickets. (1 day or 3 day)
Or email them about joining a group tour where a tour guide speaking your preferred language, transport and entrance are taken care of.
Enjoy your trip!
Many thanks for review, we hope to serve you again on next occasion
