Bun and his family were so welcoming and knowledgeable. They had wonderful accommodations and great service. He was able to plan our activities almost every day and worked hard to ensure we were having a great time. Truly humble and inspiring individual who has worked hard for all he has. I would recommend this to any group or individual looking for a traditional Khmer stay in Cambodia!
Bun, thanks a lot for looking after our family. Your place has got a fantastic atmosphere and is ideal to discover the real Cambodia. I really appreciated the visit of the village with you including the improvised dance the Soccer game...Thanks so much ! Thomas
Thank you bun we were looked after like family once again Sarah love seeing your beautiful kingdom it's history and your people, we already miss you all, love to our Cambodian family and we can't wait to see you again at Xmas xoxoxox
For me, the most interesting part of traveling is talking with others, and here, we not only talked with the amazing host Bun, but also two people from China, 1 from Switzerland, 1 Germany, 1 US, and 2 French (there are 5 rooms I think, and some new people showed up during our stay). We ate dinner and breakfast (included) each day with everyone, including several from the surrounding community. The rooms actually had air conditioning, which I didn't expect, and a lock on the door you could use when away. I didn't have any issues with noise (I'm not sensitive, though), and found the patio on the 2nd floor a relaxing place to re-charge. The place is picturesque with a small lake and water buffalo nearby, giant garden (where a lot of our food came from), and even a small schoolhouse where Bun teaches local kids English. My wife ended up reviewing some irregular verbs with them during some of the lessons, although I think we might have learned more than we taught. It's about 15 minutes from town over some very bumpy roads, but we didn't have any trouble getting TukTuks to pick us up there via the Pass app. Bun also picked us up from the bus stop and drove us to the airport himself, and even drove us to the landmine museum when we arrived. He's VERY responsive and easy to reach via phone/email. Bun's 3 year old daughter was a wonderful ambassador and entertaining host, as well. If we come back, I'd love to stay here again. I learned more about Cambodia here in 2 days here than I did in the other 1.5 weeks I spent traveling.…
If you want a pool and relaxation after your visits at the temples, this is not the right place. It‘s a Homestay with very basic rooms and no luxury. But it‘s an amazing experience to share the great homemade dinner with Buns family and neighbors and enjoy some Karaoke and beer with them. The price is really good and includes pancakes & coffee for breakfast and the joined dinner. Transfer into the city is about 15 Minutes ($ 3 each way for the Tuk Tuk). Since I was a solo Traveller I didn’t do the tours with him but in a small group with ‚Journey Cambodia‘ which I can also highly recommend.
