We as a group of 14 couples travelled from Raipur to Sarai to a beautiful destination for 2 days (15-16 July) it took roughly about 4hrs to travel and the road were so advantures yet very peaceful. As soon as we reached we all were welcomed with so much warmth and love into the hotel. The overall property was well maintend and so clam and peacful. The rooms were fully wooden constructed giving a very down to earth feel. Overall food menu was not very lavish, yet the food was limited but very delicious. One thing that really impressed me was how respectful the overall staff team was. They never said "No" for anything and that type of service is very rare to find in a govt. managed hotels. The resturent manager Mr. Atul Vaidya and his leadership has shaped the entire staff committee to work in a effective and systematic way and we thank everyone with our entire heart for there service and hospitality . The only issue we faced was with electricity, there were light and fans running but once the power is cut it comes back after a very long time but as we went in the monsoon season due to humidity we faced a little bit trouble. Apart from that the overall weekend experience was wonderful. We wish to visit the hotel again very soon.…
This has to be the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff are amazing, the rooms beautiful, the restaurant lovely and the spa was everything it needed to be. I can think of no other hotel worthy of staying at
Though the hotel is a little dusty from renovations and getting back to normal after COVID, the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Beautiful pool (which I had to myself the whole time!) and clean and comfortable rooms. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.
The hotel receptionist is terribly bad attitude. I booked the room with private pool via Agoda. I arrived to the hotel, unfortunately the receptionist said the room is not available due to renovation in progress. I requested the receptionist to sort it out but she just asked me to call Agoda ask for refund on my own but she can’t do anything. I said I want to meet the hotel manager but she is reluctant and hesitant, still she made the call to the manager who doesn’t shown up at all. How ridiculous the hotel manager won’t showing up to handle customer complaints or requests or incident like mine. This hotel service is super terrible. I highly NOT recommended.
We stayed here for 2 nights last week. Reading through all the fabulous reviews on TripAdvisor and other portals convinced us we aren't making a wrong choice. However we were unpleasantly surprised! They seemed not at all ready to operate but had opened in a rush. The floors were dusty. Just 2 staff members to manage the whole hotel. Rooms smelled bad, probably because they weren't used for months and now not cleaned and ventilated adequate. Breakfast was very sad. We had to skip and order in instead. Not a place worth the money unless they bring in the maintenance works immediately!
Sarai is a wonderful place to stay in Siem Reap! The service is definitely a highlight. Every member of the staff we encountered were exceedingly gracious and helpful. We arrived in Siem Reap without having scheduled much in advance, but with a good idea of what we wanted to do. Upon arrival, we let them know we planned to explore the Angkor complex the following day and they sprung into action, planning the excursion to our specifications and providing us with a tricycle driver who stuck with us all the following day showing us the best spots away from the crowds! Every morning before we left the hotel, we told the staff what we'd like to do that evening or the following day. By the time we returned from the day's events, they had our subsequent adventure already coordinated for us! We were in Siem Reap for just 4 days (considered a rather short stay), but were able to see tons of attractions thanks to the helpful staff. Whether an Angkor tour, the Phare circus, an Apsara performance, or a day trip out to Phnom Kulen/Beng Mealea, the staff was on top of it! Got excellent massages at the hotel spa. The hotel is only one block away from the Cuisine Wat Damnak restaurant, which is an absolute must when you're in Siem Reap. On top of everything, the hotel just looks cool! From the rooms, to the reception area, to the restaurant, to the pool... everything is just incredibly sleek and stylish. We highly recommend Sarai for your stay in Siem Reap. You won't regret it!…
We spent three nights at The Sarai Resort and Spa. Everyone on their staff was so welcoming, greeting us with a broad smile and giving us their full attention with every encounter. They assisted us in restaurant reservations and with choosing the best attractions to visit. They were always extremely helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. And their pool was a relaxing respite from the heat of the day. We would highly recommend staying at the Sarai Resort when in Siem Reap. You will not be disappointed.
Where do I start? Sarai Resort and Spa felt like home away from home. We were even greeted with "Welcome Home" every time we returned to the hotel along with a cool towel. The rooms and decor of the hotel was aesthetically pleasing, the hotel staff were so genuinely kind to us (the best service we had during our week in Cambodia), and the food was absolutely delicious. Though we didn't speak the local language, we didn't feel that there was a huge language barrier as the majority of the staff spoke English fairly well. We chose the cooking class experience and it was the coolest thing ever! We got to travel by tuk tuk with the chef to the local market to see exotic delicacies in their raw form. When we returned, we began our class in the most beautiful setting (by their Moroccan inspired pool). Our chef was patient with our culinary skills, and even gave us mini tutorials along the way. The recipes were delicious and we were given recipe cards and a cooking certificate in the end. On our anniversary, we trekked around with a tour to Angkor Wat. When we returned, the ladies at the front desk excitedly told us that we had a surprise in our room. I think we'd only mentioned once that we were there for our anniversary, so we were blown away when we got to our room and our bed was beautifully decorated with flower petals and kissing towel swans. Every evening, we were given a complimentary snack/treat. Everyone from the front desk staff to the chef to the wait staff were so kind to us. I say that because when we left, our expectations of service in Cambodia were pretty high, but we couldn't find that level of service in our following accomodations. If given the chance, I would definitely come back and with a larger group. I know there isn't a rating higher than 5 stars, but the Sarai Resort and Spa definitely deserve it.…
Loved our three night stay with another couple. The staff were brilliant and could not do enough for us. They even made a birthday cake for my husband which was amazing. Room was great, bed and pillows were perfect. I loved the pool which we used everyday day having cocktails. We also did the cooking class which we enjoyed and have use one of the recipes already since we have been home.
We stayed here for two nights in the middle of March 2020. All the staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent - there was a range of Cambodian food on offer, which was delicious, plus Western style breakfasts too. We did not eat dinner at the hotel, because we walked into Siem Reap, where there many places to eat. It takes about 10 minutes or so to walk into town and there are also numerous tuk tuks available. The hotel pool was beautiful and the water temperature perfect. The room was comfortable, with a charming window seat. The only downside was a bit of a smell drifting up from the drains in the toilet. The hotel was quiet because of the onset of coronavirus, but this did not affect the quality of service, which remained polite and attentive at all times. Many thanks to all for a super stay.
