This boutique hotel has small but clean rooms, most with nice views of the pool which sits in the center courtyard of the hotel. We spent three nights there and really liked the staff, who went out of their way to greet us each time we returned and were quick to help us with getting tuk tuks to town as needed. The transport from the hotel to town was only $2 by tuk tuk which made it very easy to enjoy the night market and head to town for dinner.

The hotel is set off the road and quiet once inside, rooms on 3 floors are set around a swimming pool which was a great way to chill after the temples tours and enjoy happy hour daily from 4-8pm. The room was clean, modern and comfortable and breakfast included which was of good quality. Above all, every member of staff was fantastic, friendly and helpful. Sarah and Sophai on reception had the biggest smiles! There is also a small gym and spa. Ankor Wat is around 10k from the hotel by tour bus, taxi or tuk tuk and a $2 tuk tuk ride to Pub Street and the night market area.

Where do I start? Sarai Resort and Spa felt like home away from home. We were even greeted with "Welcome Home" every time we returned to the hotel along with a cool towel. The rooms and decor of the hotel was aesthetically pleasing, the hotel staff were so genuinely kind to us (the best service we had during our week in Cambodia), and the food was absolutely delicious. Though we didn't speak the local language, we didn't feel that there was a huge language barrier as the majority of the staff spoke English fairly well. We chose the cooking class experience and it was the coolest thing ever! We got to travel by tuk tuk with the chef to the local market to see exotic delicacies in their raw form. When we returned, we began our class in the most beautiful setting (by their Moroccan inspired pool). Our chef was patient with our culinary skills, and even gave us mini tutorials along the way. The recipes were delicious and we were given recipe cards and a cooking certificate in the end. On our anniversary, we trekked around with a tour to Angkor Wat. When we returned, the ladies at the front desk excitedly told us that we had a surprise in our room. I think we'd only mentioned once that we were there for our anniversary, so we were blown away when we got to our room and our bed was beautifully decorated with flower petals and kissing towel swans. Every evening, we were given a complimentary snack/treat. Everyone from the front desk staff to the chef to the wait staff were so kind to us. I say that because when we left, our expectations of service in Cambodia were pretty high, but we couldn't find that level of service in our following accomodations. If given the chance, I would definitely come back and with a larger group. I know there isn't a rating higher than 5 stars, but the Sarai Resort and Spa definitely deserve it.

We were at the Sarai in February 2020. The place was wonderful. If you do have any issues don't hesitate to speak up, they are very happy to take care of anything. All the staff were delightful. Getting a tuk tuk from the hotel was easy and the cost of a ride was always cheap. Just around the corner is a Restaurant called Georges, wonderful place to eat, don't miss it!!

We stayed here for two nights in the middle of March 2020. All the staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent - there was a range of Cambodian food on offer, which was delicious, plus Western style breakfasts too. We did not eat dinner at the hotel, because we walked into Siem Reap, where there many places to eat. It takes about 10 minutes or so to walk into town and there are also numerous tuk tuks available.
The hotel pool was beautiful and the water temperature perfect.
The room was comfortable, with a charming window seat. The only downside was a bit of a smell drifting up from the drains in the toilet.
The hotel was quiet because of the onset of coronavirus, but this did not affect the quality of service, which remained polite and attentive at all times.
Many thanks to all for a super stay. Simon & Clare

Sarai is a wonderful place to stay in Siem Reap! The service is definitely a highlight. Every member of the staff we encountered were exceedingly gracious and helpful. We arrived in Siem Reap without having scheduled much in advance, but with a good idea of what we wanted to do. Upon arrival, we let them know we planned to explore the Angkor complex the following day and they sprung into action, planning the excursion to our specifications and providing us with a tricycle driver who stuck with us all the following day showing us the best spots away from the crowds! Every morning before we left the hotel, we told the staff what we'd like to do that evening or the following day. By the time we returned from the day's events, they had our subsequent adventure already coordinated for us! We were in Siem Reap for just 4 days (considered a rather short stay), but were able to see tons of attractions thanks to the helpful staff. Whether an Angkor tour, the Phare circus, an Apsara performance, or a day trip out to Phnom Kulen/Beng Mealea, the staff was on top of it! Got excellent massages at the hotel spa. The hotel is only one block away from the Cuisine Wat Damnak restaurant, which is an absolute must when you're in Siem Reap. On top of everything, the hotel just looks cool! From the rooms, to the reception area, to the restaurant, to the pool... everything is just incredibly sleek and stylish. We highly recommend Sarai for your stay in Siem Reap. You won't regret it!

I have to admit I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel based on the photos on the website.
While I did enjoy my stay at the hotel , I think it’s worth noting that it’s not a five star resort.
The hotel is in need of fresh paint and more staff, particularly staff that speak some English.

The breakfast while tasty was tiny, I ordered pancakes with bananas and received two tiny pancakes with no fruit.
We also ordered dinner in the restaurant one night which took an hour to arrive.
The rooms are also not soundproofed and I heard my neighbours arguing for over an hour despite the fact I brought it to the attention of reception three times.

I would just recommend not opening the restaurant if you don’t have enough staff and not using unrealistic photos on the website so people are aware of what they booked. Not a bad hotel at all, just not what was I sold.

A short tuk tuk ride from the main streets and shops so location is great. Just an overall lovely place which we expected from looking at the photos and other reviews but the staff are simply wonderful. The front desk are always helping and asking how your activities were. One of the staff there - Cindy - was the best ever - she helped my daughters with some choices they wanted to buy and made lots of enquires and phone calls to help with the language barrier and getting them there etc etc. Of course the other staff were amazing and I had one of the best massages (went for 3 actually to make the most of it) at the spa with a Lady named Vattey (or similar). It may be expensive but it is worth it as they simply took care of everything for us.

We stayed at the Sarai for 7 nights for our Honeymoon. On arrival the bed was set up with beautiful flowers which was lovely. The room was nice and we liked the window seat, for the price it was great.

The hotel itself is stunning. We went for the free 30 minute foot massage which was very relaxing and a great addition. The beds by the pool are very comfortable with thick cushions. The location is great away from Pub street but still close enough to walk. We used multiple tuktuks outside the hotel which are mostly a set price €2. We used the hotel tuktuk for the private sunrise temple tour and this was well organised and they provided breakfast. Happy hour us half price drinks 5pm-7pm.

The best part of the hotel is the staff and the level of service. You couldn't go through a door without someone opening it for you. Somaly at the bar provided our drinks and happy hour cocktails , she was very friendly and kept our drinks topped up. Riya on reception helped us organise things before we arrived and was always there to help on reception when we needed. Petter the driver was very helpful and gave us a mini tour on arrival pointing out good places to go and answering all our questions. All of the staff made our trip so special we will never forget.

Other information- laundry is nearby and €1 per kilo. There is a cash machine opposite the hotel to withdraw either dollars or local currency. You need to be careful to keep the dollars pristine or they can be rejected.

We as a group of 14 couples travelled from Raipur to Sarai to a beautiful destination for 2 days (15-16 July) it took roughly about 4hrs to travel and the road were so advantures yet very peaceful. As soon as we reached we all were welcomed with so much warmth and love into the hotel. The overall property was well maintend and so clam and peacful. The rooms were fully wooden constructed giving a very down to earth feel. Overall food menu was not very lavish, yet the food was limited but very delicious. One thing that really impressed me was how respectful the overall staff team was. They never said "No" for anything and that type of service is very rare to find in a govt. managed hotels. The resturent manager Mr. Atul Vaidya and his leadership has shaped the entire staff committee to work in a effective and systematic way and we thank everyone with our entire heart for there service and hospitality . The only issue we faced was with electricity, there were light and fans running but once the power is cut it comes back after a very long time but as we went in the monsoon season due to humidity we faced a little bit trouble. Apart from that the overall weekend experience was wonderful. We wish to visit the hotel again very soon.

We arrived at the airport, and took a taxi from the airport to Sarai Resort, which was a short ride. The taxi driver spoke English, and offered to be our driver for the next couple of days, which worked out very well.

Hi, We just stayed in one of the regular rooms, I'm not sure about a private pool. That being said, the hotel pool was never very crowded during the time we were there.
