There were a few negative reviews and I was hesitant on staying here but it turns out to be a great little hotel. It’s centrally located, tons of restaurants and the Pub Street is a stone throw away. Because of that, it’s noisy at night but after a full day walk to the temples, I just pass out when I hit the bed. The pool is very nice to have at the end of a hot day. Staff is super, there are some staff who can speak better English so just wait for them to come on if you need to arrange a tour or tuktuk. The travel agent across the road is the best for arranging cheap tours. The shower is odd, no shower curtain, so it gets the bathroom pretty wet. But it dries quickly too in the heat. I felt pretty safe as a solo female traveller staying here and walking around, although I don’t stay out too late.

We loved this hotel, the atmosphere, the staff, the ambience, the pool after a hard days sightseeing, the balcony room and it’s location in the city, exactly what we wished for. There are tuk tuk drivers a plenty in the vicinity and it is 6 mins walk from the markets and Pub Street though because of this you do get some overnight noise residue but it isn’t overpowering in the least. Lots of good and inexpensive restaurants in the area we ate at Taste for Life and Red Ankhar both had great inexpensive Khmer food and cocktails. Downsides - the spa which we tried and would not recommend. The two ladies seemed to have been imported from another establishment and spend the first 20 minutes chatting loudly as if catching up on old times despite signs in the spa saying “No talking Silence Please”. The breakfast is not be best - 4 English and 4 Asian choices, coffee, tea, cornflakes and fruit. Open from 6.30 to 10, the staff look bored and when we had to ask for fresh fruit as none available the waitress clearly had other things on her mind than the guests. However the chicken noodle soup and chicken noodles with veg were both fine as was the fruit. This is a great base for 3 nights close to the nightlife and life of the city but wouldn’t recommend staying and longer.

We stayed here for 3 nights. and we love the way they treat their guest! Special mention to Mr. Sakada (Receptionist) for accommodating us from the time that we arrived at the hotel and helped us to book the best tuktuk driver Mr. Lun to go for a tour in Angkor Wat. La dakiri is just 2 blocks away from Pub street and very accessible to any restaurant for a reasonable price. If you want to book a TukTuk going to Angkor wat, Please choose Mr. Lun he will bring you to the temple that other people didnt see.

I just want to let you all know that what I’m writing about this hotel is not out of hatred. This is purely to create awareness for my fellow travellers so that they don’t experience what we’ve experienced. We were meant to stay in the hotel for 5 days but had to move to another hotel to be more comfortable and away from the mosquitoes. Here it goes, this hotel is far from 4 Star. This is actually just a 2 Star. Here are cons: - Too many mosquitoes in the room. - Found ants on the bed. - Leaking toilet. - Mould in the shower blind. - No shower curtain therefore when you finish having a shower the whole bathroom is wet. - The room was very dark due to poor lighting. The photos on the internet website do not match the premise at all. Pros: - The staff are very warm and friendly. Barong was very helpful. - Close to everything such as the Pub Street and the Night Market. - Close to many restaurants. If you want cheap and love mosquitoes then this is the place for you. I wouldn’t have stayed here is it was a 2 star but a 4 star? No damn way.

I made reservation at this hotel, because of its central location. Unfortunately I regretted my choice once I checked in. First of all I got a room with a major leakage in the bathroom. The floor was entirely wet. Besides that the receptionist forgot to give back my passport. Breakfast is not of a very good quality and the buffet scales are empty most of the time. The final straw was when the receptionist called me early morning to let me know that I had to move to another hotel because they were overbooked (even I had paid already). No more La de Kiri for me...
