Lovely little hotel, nice quiet pool, friendly staff. Breakfasts were good. I paid a little extra for the big bedroom with the big balcony, the difference in price was negligible. If I went back to Siem Reap, and I probably will, I would definitely go back to this hotel. One word of caution is the tuktuk driver that was found for me by the hotel. I used him for several days, going to the temples that I wanted to see, but also asked him to take me to the floating village, which the hotel had told me would cost $21 for the boat trip. When I got there, they wanted $40. I negotiated down on this, and foolishly took it at $30; part way down they then wanted an extra $15. Rip-off. Not sure the driver was in on it, but I didn't use him again. The above doesn't distract at all from the hotel. It was perfect, and the staff first class

Comfortable room, adequate breakfast, nice clean pool to cool down in, close to loads of bars and restaurants, Pub St 400 metres - all for just under £25 for two/night. The bathroom was small and the floor is the shower tray, buts that was ok. We had a comunal balcony outside our room window where a french couple would come for a smoke and their nightly argument, but we sorted that eventually! And on the doorstep you have one of the wonders of the world - the Temples!

Our check in was awkward. Lots of hovering, but we figured they were just trying to be friendly. We get a room on the main floor next to the front desk, not awesome but not terrible. It was loud during the day but at night it quieted down a little. Really wanted to hang out in the courtyard and pool area but there were always employees sitting at the table and around the lounge chairs. I’m not super into small talk or being watched so we just avoided it altogether. If those were my only issues...3/5 stars. The location is pretty great and I’m all about free breakfast. HOWEVER, our toilet was broken upon arrival. We got in pretty late so we asked the next morning as soon as we got up if someone could fix it. We were told they’d do it while we were gone for the day. Bummer because now we haven’t been able to use the bathroom for over 12 hours. We then had to ask if there’s a toilet we can use in the meantime and she was surprised...like it hadn’t occurred to her we didn’t have a working toilet so we aren’t able to relieve ourselves. She gave us access to the employee one in the back of the hotel. Very basic toilet, no seat, no toilet paper, it’ll do in a pinch. We come back from our Angkor Wat tour and ask if the toilet had been fixed, he told us it had. We go into our room and inspect the toilet, we flush it and it begins to swirl around and around but the bowl fills with water continuously as if it’s going to overflow. Nothing goes down, the water level as risen considerably. I go back to lobby and tell him it’s not fixed, he says he’ll get his manager, some kid then comes in a with a bent coat hanger and GOES TO TOWN on this toilet. Smells like you wouldn’t believe are creeping into our room from the bathroom. The heat and feces combo is pretty unbearable. He then walks out without saying a word. I wait 15 mins go back out and ask the original employee if the kid is done. He says he is, I tell him it’s still not fixed. Repeat what just happened only this time as we makes his exit I stop him and ask “Is it done? Good?” He only stares at me...so then I try some hand motions, still nothing, thumbs up and down. He’s not out the door (probably because of the smell). I wait another 15-20 mins and then my girlfriend goes to the bathroom. While she’s in there trying to fix it herself with the left behind plunger and coat hanger he knocks on the door. Surprised we’ve closed it after having 2 people in and out, door open to the lobby for the last 45 mins since our return from an all day tour, when all we want to do is sleep. Our last and final day we return to find the toilet still broken and toilet water all over the floor, the kid demonstrates for us how to flush it, it’s not fixed, he knows it’s not but seems to really be convincing himself and us it’s fine. It smells like death and we tell him we’re leaving in a few hours and it’s fine. I know they’re booked out because we asked about other rooms. I know the problem is bigger than just our toilet, so whoever is staying that room after us, I’m sorry.

The people make it live up to its name and so does the property. The interior is spacious, clean, and has Cambodian charm without seeming like its pandering to tourists. The rooms aren't air tight, so you may have a few flies to deal with, but the price, location, and just overall value more than make up for that. I was lucky enough to get a front room with a balcony and the sunrises over the rooftops were so worth the noise I dealt with at night. I used a sound machine app on my phone and I slept just fine. This place is a hidden gem. I more than recommend it.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. The room was clean and the location is excellent it is about 300-400m from pub street. We never had to take a tuk tuk in the city just to Angkor. The staff is mega friendly. The equipment is a bit old and the breakfast is poor. But all in all, nice stay, thank you!
