Located in a quiet location just a couple of dollars from town and very close to the temples, this exceptional hotel epitomises boutique.
The AC is already on prior to your arrival to ensure the room is cool with plenty of water provided. No need to bring more than clothes and swimwear when you are provided with a full suite of toiletries from shower gel to conditioner and a range of useful extras such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, razors, q-tips, combs and more, beautifully packaged and placed in the spacious bathroom.
The pool looked incredible in the photos but it still manages to exceed even those in reality, verdant greenery surrounds you, the bird song and steady rhythm of the waterfall feature set your ambience.
Whether by the pool, in your room or seated in the restaurant listening to the soft jazz music you can expect consistency. There is affordable and delicious food but where they truly shine is with the drinks, a Sokkhak cooler full of invigorating ginger flavour to recover from the long flight and the white dragon that is particularly refreshing were our two personal favourites.
Sokkhak are committed to the local environment and social aspects of Siem Reap by home growing and home making about as much as they possibly can.
This is the essence of boutique, an experience that is actually tailored to you, what you want is what they will do their best to provide and it is why I rate this 5 stars, they honestly want to ensure your visit is as perfect as can be.

I chose this hotel after reading reviews online but you never really know what to expect until you get here yourself and this hotel has more than exceeded my expectations.

I booked directly with the hotel which came with added benefits such as free airport transfers, treatments in their spa, discounts for other services. The hotel promotes sustainability by using lemongrass as straws, reusable bottles, etc. which I thought was great.

I booked the Home Suite for 5 nights, 8th to 13th Jan, and the room is beautiful and spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The room has a king size bed, large bathroom with both a shower and bath, fit for two.

The breakfast is amazing and you have a lot of choice and they cater to all tastes. They were very accommodating and everything is made fresh to order and tasted great. The main menu is also good and everything I had was good so the chefs deserves a special mention as everything I had both looked and tasted great.
I recommend the lemongrass and ginger tea and Eggs Benedict.
Also, if you have an early trip they will prepare a packed lunch for you which is a nice touch.

The staff are the crowning glory of the hotel as they’ve been so welcoming, attentive and helpful in every way. Mr Seam at FOH caters to all your requests and makes sure you’re having a great time here. He’s and the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable so if you come here without any plans they have many suggestions and recommendations for you.
The pool is nice and the spa services I had were very professional and relaxing.

This hotel is rated as 4 star but I received a 5 star service and I can’t see how I could have been treated better anywhere else as they couldn’t do anymore for me as a guest and they really take pride in delivering a great customer experience.
The hotel and staff have so much to offer
I just wished I could have stayed longer and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Thank you for creating great memories for me that I’ll never forget.

Very pleasant hotel with a nice swimming pool and sun loungers. Staff is super friendly, nothing is too much for them. Room was spacious and beautifully decorated with very good beds and pillows (best we have had in Cambodia).
When we returned from an excursion we always received a wet towel to refresh our hands, which was always nice.
Breakfast was very good. It is not a buffet, but à la carte and you can order anything you want. Because it isn't a buffet, you have to provide some more time for having your breakfast. We had lunch twice in the hotel, which was tasty but on the expensive side (limited choice).
To go to the center you have to take a tuk tuk (a little further on the main street enough tuk tuks passes by). Have the address of the hotel written down in Khmer by reception so that you can show this to the tuk tuk driver. Price to center is 3 dollars.
There is a possibility of spa (we have not used this), prices for the massages are expensive. The rest of the treatments are fairly priced.

This sweet Boutique Hotel made our trip because the people are so so attentive and caring, the food was excellent and the grounds beautiful. Every time you come and go you are greeted with cool towels of eucalyptus and lemongrass and warm greetings. We felt like we were leaving our new family when we left Also the location is perfect on a quiet, green street only minutes from the hustle and bustle of shops and restaurants on Pub Street.

Im not even sure where to begin. Everything was fantastic with this place.

Sokkhak is A small boutique hotel. We booked the room with a spa/tour package. A great decision, worth every penny! The surrounding is lush with greenery and mango trees but no mosquitoes issues.

The hotel located slightly off the main road that’s why it’s rather charming and quiet. As you enter the property, it smells like heaven..... you can tell they love their aromatherapy! You will be welcomed with a cold refreshing towel and a drink everytime you return from your day trip.

We love our daily massages!!!! I love our breakfast too, delicious selections. The dining staff know what we like to drink in the morning by the second day!! Small thing like this, makes you feel welcome. Get those mangoes when they are in season. It’s sooooo good!

The service and staff are friendly and can be a bit chatty But as we know nothing tourists- that can be a good source of info. The hotel manager suggested we hired a tour guide as an add-on to our package. Our tour guide, Mr. Viseth and our driver, Mr. Long are the best duo you can get!

Mr. Long always ready with his welcome cold towel and cold water after every site.
While Mr. V, he is not just a tour guide- he is also a very good photographer!!! He knows all the tricks and best instagramable spots.

This place is paradise. The home suite is one of the most beautiful rooms we have ever stayed in and the gardens are a corner of tranquillity in lush greenery. You wake up to bird song and distant roosters. The food from their sister restaurant is lovely, and gets delivered to you (you can eat at the dining room but we preferred to sit in our veranda terrace). The staff was amazing, so thoughtful and helpful. Everyone went out of their way to make our lives easier and found ways to solve any difficulties. We also tried the partner gym (a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel) and it was great. The swimming pool is salted water and always a perfect temperature. They offer free drop-off to siem reap, but after sightseeing in Angkor and surroundings we ended up preferring to spend most of our free time at the hotel instead of siem reap! We couldn’t recommend this place more. There are cheaper options in siem reap, but treating yourself to a stay at Sokkhak is definitely worth it.

Trip advisor ranks hotels by best value but I always change that via the filter to traveler ranking. I am so pleased I did that this time.
Sokkhak boutique hotel is number 11 and made our stay in Cambodia very special. A member of staff met us at the airport with a car and driver and explained all about the area on the journey to the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff from the management to the room cleaners.

Lovely room with the most comfortable beds

I absolutely adored my time staying at Sokkhak Boutique Resort. It is everything I look for when booking a hotel - beauty, authenticity, friendly staff, welcoming accommodation, cleanliness, convenience and delicious food. My Pool View Suite was absolutely stunning, I enjoyed relaxing by the beautiful pool and I loved how Sokkhak's staff were able to make reservations for us. I highly recommend staying at Sokkhak Boutique Resort if you make your way to Siem Reap. We had the best experience there!

The best decision I’ve made was to book our stay at the Sokkhak Boutique Resort in Siem Reap.
In case you’re looking for an intimate, relaxing, romantic venue with spot on service, then do not hesitate any longer, this is undoubtedly the perfect place for you!
In a nutshell since my review is quite long, Sokkhak resort offers a peaceful and relaxing environment, far from all those big hotels/factories for tour-operators. Everything is refined and they’re very much into those small details that makes a big difference. The true gem of that hotels resides in its staff, offering an impeccable service from the heart, anticipating all our needs and expectations, and always going the extra mile to make our stay more enjoyable.
I would like to thank and particularly highlight Ostraly, Sophal, Chanty, Sunny, Tina, Mouet; but also all the other staff working in the back end.
Our experience started before our stay, with a friendly message from Ostraly, offering to assist us with all arrangements for our stay. Upon arrival, Sophal was waiting for us at the airport and drove us to the hotel with our suitcases by tuk-tuk.
We were welcomed with a genuine smile and friendly “welcome home”, cold towels and refreshing welcome drinks. Ostraly reviewed all details of our stay with us and assisted us organizing our massage session and visits.
Our room was spacious, refined and beautifully decorated. A nice message was displayed on the bed, and the bathroom was decorated with flowers.
The resort offers a beautiful salty water pool nestled in a tropical lush, a great restaurant serving a succulent cuisine with impeccable service for breakfast/lunch and dinner, and a couple room massage upon request (totally recommend the 120 minutes Khmer massage, so relaxing!).
The food was tasty, with a nice variety, and a very good approach to the local cuisine (special mention for the eggplant salad, fish amok, and Khmer delicacy consisting of banana and coconut).
Ostraly arranged for us a two days tour of the main Angkor temples, with Theara, a friendly English speaking guide, and Sophal driving us all day long from one point to another by tuk-tuk, offering us cold water and refreshing scented cold towels between each stop.
Each time we came back to the hotel from our excursions, the team greeted us with a tea or cold drink (ginger, lemongrass, pandas leaves, etc.).
Since we wanted to visit an authentic local market to buy some souvenirs, the team nicely oriented us to the “Made in Cambodia market”, selling locally handicrafts items. Authentic, and at a more reasonable price compared to some tourist markets selling made in China items.
As stated earlier, our wonderful stay was the combination of a fantastic hotel and an amazing team. I would without hesitation recommend anyone to stay there.

The hotel is small and full of charm, situated in a quiet part of Siem Reap yet only a few minutes by tuktuk from all the shops and restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious. Beautiful swimming pool where you can relax or have your lunch. Lovely rooms decorated with good taste, with incredibly soft and confortable beds.
But what is so special about this place is the staff, everybody is so friendly, always ready to help with a smile, to organise a tuktuk, an excursion to the temples, finding a ticket to the Phare circus....My tuktuk driver was reliable and looked after me so well. Excellent spa where I had a relaxing massage after an exhausting day visiting the temples.
A special thank you to Chhoun and Seam who were so helpful and friendly during my stay.
It was sad to leave but I hope to come back one day to Sokkhak Boutique Resort.

Hi Miss The loungers are not reserved or allocated. It's first come first serve, and much of the time we were there, people were out temple sightseeing during much of the day, so the loungers were free and plentiful. Maybe more crowded closer to afternoon sunset.
