Serves as a hotel school for underprivilaged youth and does a wonderful job, preparing 100 students a year for a career in the growing hospitality industry. Service is great and students are clearly enjoying their work and the contact with customers.

Stay in a hotel for a good cause and feel like you're at home with the friendly and attentive service. Sala Bai is a hotel and restaurant training school that provides free tuition to people from remote villages of Cambodia who live in poverty, to help fight human trafficking before it starts. Rooms in the hotel are well kept and...

I was expecting the rooms to be really plain n simple judging fr the outside but i was pleasantly surprised when the standard room door opened! The mosquito net and nice table lamp gave the room a romantic glow. The sheets are clean (budget places normally aren't), & the bed is almost like a luxury hotel's. Tooth brush not provided...

My room at Sala Bai was nicely decorated, very clean (serviced twice a day!), calm, fully air conditioned and with a good en-suite shower - exactly what you need after exploring temple after temple in Angkor. What takes this hotel from good to great, though, is its ueber-friendly staff! The reason therefore is that Sala Bai is not a normal...

Salabai is a hotel school that trains young Cambodians to hospitality jobs. This school has a social and educational vocation. The training hotel and restaurant give the students the opportunity to learn and get work experience. During my stay in Seam Reap, I met several Cambodians who were trained at Sala Baï and who are now working in the hotels...

If you get the chance to book the suite, do so. It is absolutely worth the money and you have so much space. The room has everything you need and is made twice a day. It is not a luxury hotel, but a good spot in Siem Reap. The students and the other staff is very helpful with organizing tour...

We found the details for the Sala Bai hotel in the Lonely Planet guide. This is a training hotel that gives underpriveledged young people a chance to learn the hotel and restaurant trade. The hotel is non-profit making, all the funds go back towards the costs of traning which is why we didn't object to spending slightly more than we...

We stayed here over the New Years period, and as such the students were on holidays for the first few days we were there. So it was quiet, clean, and fairly comfortable. Once the students came back it was a whole new ball game! The students are always super-friendly and polite and happy to see you! The teachers are wonderful...

A very nice hotel with very nice and friendly students learning/working there. We had a standard room for one night (which was ok) and the suite for two nights. Try to get the suite, it's excellent. And you support the education project with your stay.

My partner and I stayed in their Suite Room for 4 night in February 2011 - and we are so glad we did. The room was huge with 3 seperate rooms - the sitting room with TV, the bedroom room with large four poster bed with mosquito net and large cupboard and then the bathroom which was the size of...
