Nestled in the heart of Siem Reap, Angkor Village Hotel garners accolades for its impeccable service, with staff members frequently going the extra mile. The inviting atmosphere is accentuated by traditional Cambodian decor and a verdant setting that guests have called out as an oasis of serenity.
While the hotel's location is central, providing easy access to local attractions, the tranquil environment and refreshing pool offer a peaceful retreat. Though the rooms may occasionally be noted for their size or bed firmness, they are consistently celebrated for their cleanliness and charm.

Detailed Reviews
I stayed here 14 years ago and loved it and didn’t consider staying any place else on this visit. It is just as special as it was then. This is not a hotel—it is an experience. The location is in heart of the action but once you enter the front gate you will believe you are in a rural oasis.
The grounds are lovely and serene with beautiful flora and water features. The staff is exceptional: friendly, efficient, and gentle. The rooms are quiet and spacious with more of a feeling of a home than a hotel room; trimmed in dark wood and Asian furnishing. The bar and restaurant offer very good service at a fair cost.
This is a place to relax and calm yourself. If you are looking for ultra modern glitz keep moving. If you want an exceptional cultural experience, welcome!
I still would not consider any place else if I were to return, but I was surprised on check out when I was asked to add a tip to the bill to be divided with all staff. I’m American and I do tip. I was tipping for services throughout my stay and would have preferred to know on arrival that the hotel preferred one amount at checkout to share with all staff. I think this is very fair and I support this plan, but I should have had an indication of this policy at the beginning.
So, GO to this amazing place and enjoy. You will be happy for the decision.

We stayed in Siam Reap for 4 days and 3 nights. The staff from the hotel was waiting for us in the airport, assisted with the baggage and had fresh water on the car. He explained us about Cambodia on the way to the Hotel and showed us the points of interest of Siam Reap on the way. That was already a good start.
We then arrived to the hotel, welcome drink while waiting for check in that was pretty fast. We then entered the room which is like a bungalow with high ceilings, 2 large beds and a nice bathroom with rain shower. The room also smelled like eucalyptus and was at perfect temperature.
We unpacked our baggage’s and went back to the lobby to ask for assistance in order to coordinate our 3 days there.
We received a map in were it was indicated the different temples of Angkor Wat and on the other side was the city map of Siam Reap.
At that time, the hotel director Marc Oliva was passing by and heard us talking in French, he then welcomed us in French and started a conversation which was very enriching for us. After like 30 minutes exchanging lots of experiences, he told us which were the best temples to visit in Angkor Wat (since there are lots of them and we wanted to prioritise the best of them).
He organised a tuk-tuk for the 2 days visit to the temples and also a private driver for the third day to see the Kulen mountain and waterfalls.
Now about the installations of the hotel.
It has literally nothing to do with the typical massive resort. Instead, it’s a very cosy and charming hotel with a unique layout, architecture and a mystic atmosphere I cannot describe. Natural wood in the most of the hotel, submerged into nature with big trees in between the corridors, a lake in the middle of the hotel with the restaurant in the middle of it.
It’s just indescribable, It is a MUST if you get to visit Siam Reap and want to have a different experience.
Also has a pool and a small gym which I used.
Staff of the hotel are very very friendly at will help with anything needed.
Laundry can be delivered same day that they pick it up… and many more details I am missing on the way.
I did love this place. Thanks god we somehow landed in this hotel.
I’ll attach some pictures so it’s easier to understand about the beauty of the place.

If I could give this hotel 6 stars, I would. Our flight got in to the airport at 7:30am and we arrived by 8am. The staff were very friendly and willing to hold our luggage in their storage room until our room was ready around 2pm. They let us change and hang out around the pool for most of the day.
The pool was so refreshing in the wet-season humidity and heat. They also have pool side service, so we were able to get some good and drinks - all of which was delicious.
When our room was ready, they had already taken our bags and placed them for us. They provided a welcome plate of fresh fruit and a personalized note. The room has a lemongrass air freshener to keep the mosquitoes away, and to just make it smell amazing. The room was very clean and spacious, the bathroom the same.
When we left for a tour, we were provided the option to have a breakfast picnic made up for us for our Angkor Wat sunrise tour. The picnic included cheese, meat, breads, fresh fruit, and juice. It was a great way to make sure we had breakfast while still trying to beat the heat of the day around the temples.
The location is very close to Pub Street, and about 10 minute tuktuk to Angkor Wat. There are also local food stops right around the corner, and Wat Bo just a few blocks up the street.
The massages that the hotel offers are fairly priced and were fantastic, especially after a long morning of walking temples.
The lime iced tea that they serve is so refreshing and can be ordered from the bar, along with other mixed drinks and cocktails.
Overall, we were very satisfied with Angkor Village. It felt private and luxurious for a very reasonable rate. We will definitely be staying here again if we are back in Siem Reap!

While this hotel isn't perfect, but there is something very very special about it. Firstly it is an oasis amidst the city, so you are completely removed but one step outside and you are in the middle of things and can walk everywhere. Be assured it is quiet despite being so close to the action. A huge plus. Staff are just gorgeous- not too over the top but there when you need them. Pool area is not huge but charming. The gardens and architecture of the resort is really beautiful. Rooms are quite traditional, with very cool bathrooms with green tile and a timber floor shower. WIFI not great and no T.V.s in the room but the lobby is a lovely place to sit and have a cocktail and play some games as we did with the family. Beds are a bit hard for my liking, but will suit many. Room service very reasonable - all in single digit US$ charges and the food was lovely for breakfast. Restaurant was under renovation while we were there, but we preferred to eat out in lovely Siem Reap town anyway. Easy Tuktuk access to sunrise temple tour. This hotel is a member of the Small Luxury Hotel group, and you can see why. I would encourage you to stay here if you get the opportunity.

The Angkor Wat Village Hotel stay was too short we only had one night and wished we would have stayed longer! The hotel is a beautiful decor of traditional Cambodian woods with open areas. Our room was very comfortable with a large bathroom that includes all types of toiletries. Our breakfast was included and we were surprised not to see a buffet. But you get a menu and can order as many things from it, very fresh delicious food. We also had dinner at the restaurant since it was raining and were not disappointed with the food. The location is 12 minutes from the night market and pub street. The wonderful staff was always at your service!

We chose really well when staying at Angkor Village hotel with my parents. We appreciate quiet, peaceful and local architecture in our accommodation and this hotel didn’t disappoint. A pleasant pool to refresh after visiting the temples and a beautiful restaurant situated over the ponds within the hotel for delicious breakfast with fresh fruits and juices and splendid evening meals.
The staff were always there to tend your every need and helpful & polite.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable just a little on the dark side.
We definitely recommend Angkor Village hotel to those who want an affordable and relaxing stay.

An older style hotel in town. Individual units set in lush gardens all surrounded by a high wall which is intimidating from the outside but do not notice from the inside. My room was attractive with lots of drinking water nicely organized in recyclable glass bottles . Beautifully decorated room. Was there only for a brief one night so cannot comment on much of the hotel

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Ankor in April 2024, our family holiday was nothing short of magical. The hotel's location is perfect—tranquil yet central, allowing us easy access to Siem Reap's enchanting sites, including the majestic Angkor Wat.
The staff at Hotel Ankor were the heart of our experience. They were incredibly warm and went above and beyond to accommodate our family’s needs. Their attention to detail made our stay exceptionally comfortable.
The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed, offering all the comforts of home, which was ideal for our family. We particularly enjoyed the pool area, which was a refreshing oasis after our day trips exploring the temples.
Dining at the hotel was a delight with a variety of options. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone and the local cuisine offered at the restaurant was absolutely delicious.
Overall, Hotel Ankor is a perfect blend of luxury and local charm, making it a fantastic choice for families visiting Siem Reap. We left with cherished memories and look forward to returning. Highly recommended!

Angkor Village Hotel is an Oasis of peace and quiet. It´s exceedingly well kept and flows over with trees, palms, ferns and flowers. The room was spacious, breakfast was superb and the staff about the friendliest, kindest and most attentive you could imagine. It´s located in a quiet area of town but in easy walking distance to the river with its foods stalls and to some really nice restaurants. When going back to Siem Reap/Angkor we wouldn´t have to think long where to stay. Thank you to everybody there.

Beautiful hotel, lovely setting and great location in the town. The room was lovely and very well appointed. We had a view of the pool and with all the greenery it was delightful.
The hotel caters well for babies - we were able to get a clean and proper travel cot and the restaurant had proper highchairs that were clean.
Breakfast was excellent buffet style and was the nicest we had puur whole trip.
I’m just dropping a star as the hotel charges unfairly for taxis - to Phnom Penh city they charge $90 but for the airport they charge $120. Fixed price for taxi from PP airport to city is $15 and on a 6 hour drive the extra distance is negligible.

We are not part of the Hyatt Chain, however as an independent hotel we are a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) collection and World of Hyatt members can book through Hyatt to get benefits at most SLH properties around the world including Angkor Village Hotel.

Yes. But i think is a problem regarding all the area. I kept with me always the spray against mosquitos bees etc.... So at need i used it and i had no problem
Hi
No its not but I wouldn't take small children there as the lily pond has open access in many places and would be a drowning risk!
Yes, there are ATM in the adjacent blocks to the hotel. I did not see one inside the hotel.
