Lovely peaceful retreat in Siem Reap Staff very attentive and lovely rooms
Worth noting Bar - which seems to belong to the hotel, tried to order draft beer as per bar menu - none available Ordered a bottle of wine after 20 minutes we chased it (only people in the bar) we were told they had corked the bottle and had no more bottles, the choice was limited to 2/3 out of the wines offered It appears that they had forgotten to place an order for the bar … Our room wouldn’t lock at first, which was resolved The lights / AC etc all Operates from a console in the room, would have been helpful to be told as we arrived in the room, ours malfunctioned and kept alarming Hotel was quick to respond and offered a free foot massage However check that everything in the room is ok when you arrive, we were told that we had to pay for a wooden spoon that was chipped and it was done before we arrived. We refused but felt let down I gave 4 stars as the place is beautiful and relaxing

You may not want to leave — even with the majesty of Angkor Wat a few minutes away. To stay at Montra Nivesha is to be immersed in Khmer art, culture, and food: the entire hotel is filled with painting, sculpture, and pottery, all carefully curated but not so much on display as completely integrated into the rooms, corridors, lobby, and outdoor spaces.
The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and quiet, luxury without ostentation. Ours looked out on a pool long (and quiet) enough for laps (albeit with the welcome sight of a pool bar at one far end).
The food, though, would be enough of a reason by itself. The attached restaurant, Amok, features traditional Khmer cuisine in an upscale but easygoing atmosphere that perfectly matches the hotel.
Absolutely recommended for travelers seeking high-end comfort — with the attentive, professional staff to match it — in a local hotel offering much more immediate access to the culture and people of Siem Reap.

Wow! What a hotel! We loved the traditional yet contemporary design of the rooms; everything from the french colonial inspired tiles to the Ganesha taps were one of many unique features of this hidden gem of a hotel. We also highly recommend trying the fish amok, a khmer traditional dish, along many of the other tasty khmer foods they offer. From day one, the staff were incredibly helpful and spoke great English. And as someone who cares deeply for the environment, I was so happy to see the hotel’s use of bamboo straws and reusable water bottles. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Siem reap!

This is easily the best boutique hotel in Siem Reap and one of the best we've stayed in anywhere in the world! The staff were very courteous and very receptive as this is engrained in their culture. There is a unique jewelry gift shop that the owner and her daughter runs and she makes the most beuatiful handmade pieces. The hotel and individual rooms is a work of art and decorated with some of the owners private collection. All the artwork, fixtures, furnitures in the rooms in the hotel is for sale. We bought a large brass elphant water spout used in the bathrooms for $120. We bought handmade jewelry which were reasonably priced for less than a hundred dollars to over a hundred dollars. They can go up to several thousand dollars if you wish to view the separate private collection. The rooms were a bargain for less than a hundred dollars a night complete with luxurious amenities, decor and fantastic views and privacy! The foot, leg, hand and arm massage was very relaxing after a long day of touring the magical ruins. I went back for a 90 minute full body masssage the next night as the prices were very reasonable and the spa was very private and relaxing. Easily one of the best boutique hotels we've ever stayed in. Be sure to ask for the manager/daughter Sotho Vaddana if you are interested in the jewelry and art collection.

Lovely boutique hotel. Very comfortable room, beautifully decorated. Filtered drinking water on tap and reusable water bottles provided so you can take it out with you. Lots of little extras like a small bottle of insect repellant and a kit with comb and toothbrush which we really appreciated since our luggage arrived 24 hours after we did ! We were there in low season so breakfast was made to order, excellent menu selection and service was surprisingly fast. Staff were very attentive without being intrusive. A bit out of town, but only $3 in a tuk-tuk to Pub Street and there were always tuk-tuks outside or nearby. An oasis of peace and tranquility !

Excellent address in Siem Reap. We spent five nights in Siem Reap to discover the temples of Angkor but also the city and the surrounding area. Montra Nivesha is a “boutique hotel” located on the Angkor road, 2km from the center of Siem Reap. The center is easily accessible by tuktuk but we also took the walk along the river several times. No need to comment on Angkor, it is absolutely essential. We also visited a lakeside village on Tonlé Sap Lake and the “Arpopo” project which trains rats to sniff out mines and bombs that remain in certain parts of the country. The rooms are very comfortable, we had a family suite with two connected rooms, the large swimming pool is a joy to relax in after sightseeing, the restaurant is delicious - the à la carte breakfasts are superb. Finally the staff is super nice, discreet and available to advise us, our main contact was Rama, the spa manager and he helped us enormously during our stay. In short, perfect.

A beautiful oasis with peace, charisma and an extraordinarily friendly and courteous crew. The breakfast offer is rich and fresh, you can enjoy it in a relaxed atmosphere also by the pool. A very nice pool that is big enough not to dribble just a little bit. It is located in a beautiful garden and is equipped with a small pool bar. The rooms are very welcoming and well maintained. A beautiful bathroom that invites with shower and a stylish bathtub to a bathroom with candlelight.

We stayed at Montra Nivesha for four nights and had a great time. We were welcomed by the staff in the best way. Our rooms was lovely with beautiful furniture, luxurious baths and very comfortable beds. We spent the days out on tours looking at temples, cycling in the countryside around Siem Reap and we also took a boat tour on the lake near the city. The evenings and afternoons were mostly spent at the hotel, either by the pool or getting massages in the spa. The drinks by the pool are amazing! We ate dinner and some lunches on the restaurant and we were all very happy with the food. It arrived both beautiful and tasty. The staff was always ready to serve us with water or any other requests we had. Each bedroom has a good safe to put things into when out of the room. There is filtered water on tap in the rooms as well so bring refillable water bottles (or buy from the hotel) to minimize the use of plastic bottles. All in all we were extremely happy with our stay. It was just what we needed with a combination of sightseeing during the mornings and relaxing during the afternoon. I hope we will be back soon!

What a beautiful hotel. The room felt as though it was in a palace and the staff were so helpful and attentive. The pool was a highlight as was the breakfast. They organised a wonderful tour guide for us called Mr Nara who gave us private tours around the temples and a floating village. I would definitely recommend this as Mr Nara spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable about all the temples, including Angkor Wat, which are incredible. We often felt we were on a film set for Tomb Raider! Absolutely beautiful. What also made it very special was stopping between temples to try local food and seeing how it is prepared- we felt we got a good insight into the local culture. But most of all Mr Nara had a sense of humour and made the three days really fun for us. Our transport was comfortable and air conditioned with iced water which was so welcome in the heat. We absolutely loved our time in Cambodia and would thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Montrachet Nivesha!

Highly recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel. You walk into a green oasis with an incredible pool, amazing gardens, and art everywhere. The staff goes above and beyond to welcome you (lemongrass tea and hand towels!) and make your stay comfortable. They helped us book taxis and tuk tuks whenever we needed them. The rooms are gorgeous and full of amenities - they even have separate faucets for sink water and drinking water, amazing stone bathtubs, and great bathrobes, towels, etc. Very spacious, with fresh fruit and water every day. The restaurant serves delicious Khmer food as well. The pool is gorgeous and relaxing. There are also several delicious restaurants nearby, though if you want to be near Pub Street and the party scene you'll need a taxi. I got an incredible spa massage for a very affordable price!
