We were advised to stay in this hotel because of the convenience in visiting the temples close by.

The hotel staff extremely courteous. We had a seamless check-in process. we had a flight later in the day on checking out and they were very accommodating and allowed us to stay till 4 p.m. in our room. This was most appreciated.

The rooms are large and very cleanly kept. This is an older facility but has been very well maintained. The polished wood gives a very classic look to every room. Housekeeping what is excellent.

We ate a few meals at the Angkor Royal Cafe. Special mention to Socheat. Very courteous and helpful. We also had breakfast there every day. The service is exceptional. The breakfast menu is elaborate and was not lacking in anything.

The regular menu of the restaurant could have additional vegetarian options. The buffet at breakfast had a large number of choices.

They had an elaborate Indian menu also but the preparations could improve. The food in this area was extremely greasy.

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want some quiet time in between all your trips to the temples. You can also get away from the hordes of tourists who visit this area. for the temples.

The Le Meridien Angkor is the perfect location with its proximity to Angkor Wat Our trip was easily planned as I contacted the very helpful and responsive concierge Vichetr Nhouen , who emailed the details of the various tours available through their tour desk He also arranged a car to pick us up and for the airport return. We chose the 2 day tour and had a wonderful guide Pheap , and were driven in an air conditioned SUV with a helpful driver. Day one we saw Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm . Day two was Preak Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup . We started each day at 8 and returned about 3 . Our guide Pheap was very knowledgable, energetic and considerate, as well as took great pictures!
The hotel had a lovely pool, and nice rooms with good showers and amenities. They had the most extensive and amazing breakfast buffet that we have ever experienced. We also ate in their fine Italian restaurant L’Angelo , where we were served by a friendly and engaging host- Lin Lay. The staff at the hotel made you feel like they really were glad that you were visiting and they couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant.

We are truly delighted that you appreciated so many aspects of your stay with us, such as our friendly staff, the smiles from every one of our associates, the culture of Siem Reap, history of Angkor Wat, your happy tour, etc. Indeed, our location is the closest hotel to the temples and is a mere eight minutes to the famous architecture of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple and the Elephant Terrace with countless sculptural decorations. And at night it is only five minutes to the vibrant Pub Street nightlife where our guests can enjoy shopping, purchasing souvenirs. Very nice & peaceful stay. Chef Zillur Rohoman deserves the first mention for making our stay wonderful by serving us the choicest of vegetarian food (no meat). Masala teas were just mind blowing.Very courteous staff, always willing to help with a smile. Spa was equally great.

Overall Le Meridien Angkor is a very large resort. It is closer to the temples than most resorts and is a block away from the Angkor Dynasty theater which is a really cool and must see show. The pool was nice and had a very quiet atmosphere. The rooms were normal, nothing special and could use a little updating. Beds comfortable. Staff very friendly, nice and accommodating. The one thing we were a little bummed about was the breakfast. After reading some great reviews on the breakfast we were excited to try it out but it was a little disappointing to us. Not many hot items to choose from unless you wanted cambodian food. As westerners of course we were hoping for scrambled eggs, bacon, eggs benedict, hash browns etc but that's ok. The pastries were dry and stale and tasted and looked like the frozen kind you get at a holiday inn. Only eggs you could get were from the omelet bar but they were very small portions. As a Marriott member we would stay here again but comparing it to other Marriotts this hotel is rated higher than it should be.

This hotel was beautiful and well maintained. My wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon and the room was made up with flowers and a cake which was a nice surprise. We also loved the fresh local fruits in the room with a card describing each fruit. As an elite member with Marriott, I was thoroughly impressed with the benefits provided by the hotel. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had booked this hotel from our asian cruise this month. The cruise was cancelled and even though our rooms were non refundable, the manager gracefully refunded. We will gladly book this hotel again when we decide to travel to this region. Major props to the staff

My third time to Le Merdien Angkor, and It never fails to delight. The grounds are immaculate, the suite I have gotten the last two times is the largest room on the property. The LM Music track running just loud enough to be there if you want to hear it, the scents of the area that change throughout the day.

The Breakfast Buffet has something for everyone, and then some. Chinese, Japanese, Italian, American, British, French, Cambodian, all just incredible food. The manager was exceptional, and took care of everything I could come up with.

The pool is imaginative and a great respite in the 90+ degree heat. Bar service at the pool. The spa is small, but very functional with professionals who know their business. The gym is not big, and only has a few machines, but after walking dozens of miles around the temples each day, I didn't find much need myself.

L'angelo is a great restaurant. The wine list is a little weak, but the food is on the spot.

The Naga bar is really nice. They have only midshelf alcohol, but they do good things with it. I love going there after a long day of the temples, having a drink or two, then showering and relaxing in the airconditioning.

They are also very involved in the local community and sponsor local children for schools and activities.

I can't think of anywhere else I would want to stay in Siem Reap.

It was my first time to Cambodia actually so I didn't know what to expect. But staying at Le Meridien while in Siem Reap was the best decision ever!

First, the hotel arranged for an airport transfer and I was greeted by the driver with a complimentary water bottle. Upon arrival the concierge arranged to have my suitcases sent to the room right away.

But not just that. I heard that the in-house Italian restaurant L'Angelo had just changed their dinner menu. So I tried that, and boy was it delish! One of my favourites would have to be the octopus salad (highly recommended)! The next evening I also tried traditional Khmer cuisine at the cafe for the first time. All in all it was pretty filling and superb.

The hotel staff also gave me recommendations for sightseeing, especially the Angkor Balloon. Even though it was a mere ten minute ride, it was a unique experience seeing the Angkor Wat from a different perspective.

I'd also like to add that Le Meridien is pretty close to Angkor Wat, just a 10 minute drive away if you hire a tuk tuk driver.

If you have the opportunity to visit Siem Reap, I couldn't recommend staying at Le Meridien enough :)

Le Meridien is well situated as the closest hotel to the temples. While it is a little old, this is more than compensated by the wonderful staff. Our welcome at check in was very warm and friendly which set the tone for everyone on the hotel. A special mention for the Concierge Chanthey Kong who made some excellent restaurant suggestions for us and ordered up our tuktuk to take us there and back.

The breakfast is really good and we appreciated the takeaway breakfast pack when we left early one morning to watch the sunrise at Anghor Wat.

There are certainly more modern hotels in Siem Reap but here you surely have the warmest welcome and genuine care for guests.

I stayed at Le Meridien Angkor for one week to see the temples in Angkor National Park and I am so glad that I did. This hotel is closest to the temples, has a wonderful and very friendly staff. The restaurant hosts/hostesses, Phal Samnantg, Sophat Sorm and Bora Heang greeted me every morning with warm smiles and cheer. They generously provided whatever I needed to make my meals most enjoyable. I will miss them! But hope to be back there some day. The front desk staff is very professional, courteous and helpful. As is the tour desk. The tour desk operator set me up with Siem Reap Shuttle Tours and I couldn't have been more satisfied. Every tour was fantastic and a great value. I enjoyed the Cambodian afternoon tea in the lobby on my first day. That was a treat, everything was delicious. I love the location of this hotel. You can walk to the Angkor National Museum and to see the Angkor Dynasty dance performance which is quite a sight to see. Downtown Siem Reap is a quick Tuk Tuk ride away. The room was comfortable, clean, air conditioning worked well, good shower and the pool was very nice as well. I liked the courtyard landscaping very much as well. Breakfast in the restaurant is very tasty - I highly recommend the noodle soup! I had a wonderful massage in the spa from Kim. She is very good and provided a great relaxing massage session for me. I would go back in a heartbeat! Everyone in the hotel is so warm and welcoming.
