We were recently on a Mekong River cruise with Emerald Waterways. Siem Reap was our last stop before heading home. We were put up in this fabulous luxury boutique hotel. We had our own private villa-style room that was very large and very comfy! The pool and bar area were where we spent a lot of time, as well as in the restaurant on the grounds. This hotel is a great place to stay, and the staff is wonderful! Oh, and we had delicious fresh fruit and free bottled water in our room every day. But the best part about this hotel is that it is run by a charitable foundation. A percentage of the room rate goes to the local communities. I would not stay anywhere else in Siem Reap.

Hotel's Favorite
My husband and I were watching a program called "Designing Paradise" on TV when we first saw the Shinta Mani Angkor hotel featured there. We were thrilled by the design, all in black and white with accents of orange, and impulsively we booked into this hotel for our Anniversary. This is a cute boutique hotel with so many design elements and surprises at every turn and corner. Right from the quirky statues to the koi fish, the cusions and the beautifully folded Lotus flowers all over, it was just a sensational experience. Our room itself was cool and inviting everyday after the long and strenuous sight seeing and had every possible comfort in it. This is also the very first hotel that said that the mini bar was for our use, free of charge ! We have to mention the staff here - all of them without exception, and specially Jack and Sophy made our return to the hotel every day a really warm and homely experience. Nothing was impossible for them - including the vegetarian food we had, the hampers packed beautifully for us, the hot coffee and muffins ready at 4 a.m ! But I must add that there was this beautiful book called Escapism by the Designer of Shinta Mani in each room. I spent several hours enjoying the photographs in them. On an impulse i dashed off an email to the designer Ben Bensley ... to be pleasantly shocked to receive a warm reply from him ! The day we left, at least six of the staff waved us off as we drove away.... I felt like I was leaving Mom's house ! To Manager and the wonderful staff of the Shinta Mani Angkor, Or Khun ! This was the best Anniversary we have ever had !

Our very first time to Siem Reap and stayed at this fabulous Hotel, the ambience is beautiful. All the Staff were so friendly and very helpful. Our room was on the Ground Floor with the Pool at our doorstep. The room was very large, clean & well set out, a huge & very comfortable bed with the best pillows. Lovely bathroom with Shower, Hairdryer and fresh towels daily. Our bed was turned down for us each night too. The pool was clean and we found very relaxing to lay on the beds beside the pool, and the Pool bar staff were very attentive at all times. The Restaurant was so good, our buffet breakfast in the mornings was something to look forward to, so much to choose from & something suitable for everyone worldwide. We ate our evening meals here as well, and the menu had some very delicious dishes, making our mouths water. Once again the Staff were excellent, very friendly and there to assist you at all times. The Spa treatment was also wonderful. The Hotel is situated in a good location, making it so easy to walk to various different places, eg markets. My hubby & myself do 100% recommend this Hotel & definitely will stay there again. Marilyn & Marty Jones
