On our travel to Siem Reap we stayed 4 nights at Mudra Angkor and enjoyed every single one of them. The place is very well taken care off, has a nice vibe and a relaxing pool. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The hotel is not exactly in the center of siem reap which makes it a calm stay, you might as well spend a day at the nice pool while you are not exploring temples. A walk to the city center is like 15 minutes or 5 with a Tuk Tuk which costs you 2 $. The hotel supposedly also offers you free Tuk Tuk rides to the city, however whenever we wanted to use it there was none. If i come back to siem reap I would definitely come back to Mudra Angkor because we really enjoyed our stay here, so we can recommend it. Breakfast is also included.

We chose this for our 6 night stay because it is small and family run, away from the busy touristy areas in a quiet location and because it had a pool. The room was very spacious and stylish with excellent air conditioning, a fridge, kettle and safe, a huge bed (very firm mattress) with nice clean linen. The bathroom was modern although polished cement would not be my first choice for a shower enclosure as it was beginning to look a little the worse for the heat and humidity. If you don't opt to have your room cleaned each day you may need to ask regularly for toilet paper. The location was good with two or three nice restaurants within walking distance as,disappointingly, the Mudra was not open for food. These were all devoid of diners so in the end we took a tuk tuk into the busy centre. Breakfast was quite modest. There's a choice of around 8 options, prepared to order but no opportunity to mix and match so it's either fruit or eggs, cereal or toast. Tea is jasmine tea and there was sweetened fruit juice. We felt there were areas for improvement. On one occasion they had run out of butter and on another the pancakes had neither chocolate sauce nor fruit. Toast was only done on one side. We felt awkward about bringing these things to the attention of staff. We enjoyed the pool after our sightseeing. It was clean but some of the tiles had lifted leaving sharp edges. Our stay coincided with the Cambodian Water Festival holidays and several local families were staying. They were clearly having a great time but we thought that some of the children were quite naughty, running up and down the corridor and shouting. Parents let them go into the swimming pool fully clothed. We booked 4 days of trips with the hotel at a cost of over $100. Unfortunately the card machine would not work so we had to use some of our limited currency. We found this hotel on Tripadvisor and noticed that it offered lots of 'extras' such as free pick up and a one hour massage. Initially we we quoted $5 for pick up but this was waived. However we were told that the massage was not available to Booking.com customers. There was a misunderstanding about our payment too and we were told to pay cash up front when in fact the stay had been paid some weeks before. I really wanted to write a 5 star review but felt that things weren't quite there at the moment. Overall we would recommend staying here, it's very good value, clean and comfortable.

Couldn't locate our booking, place is pleasant enough, breakfast was good and filling, good layout to the room (room 9), shower screen and walls need a good scrub. Better quality than most similarly priced hotels in Bangkok

I stayed here for 6 nights and I was very happy overall. It's a quiet small hotel, a bit far from the city center but easy to walk there by the riverside. The swimming pool is cool and normally not many people are there, so it's easy to enjoy your time there alone. The restaurant is excellent, it's worth a visit just for the food. Very good breakfast, it was included in the price of my room. The service is good, nice and helpful people. The only 2 negative points I have to mention are: - The first thing they did when I arrived at the hotel was telling me (the manager) that the transfer from the airport was not included in my reservation and I had to pay for it. Ok, no problem, it was a misunderstanding and I am happy to pay for the service, but this can't be the first thing you tell your guest as soon as they arrive. Super cold and uncomfortable welcome. - They say they have parking, but they don't. It's just some space in the garden, and you have to climb a big step clearly not designed for motorbikes, quite dangerous if you have a heavy one. Just small details, the experience was very good overall. I would recommend it, no doubt.
