We booked this hotel based on a friend's recommendation and, I have to say, we owe our friend! We knew very little about the area and Cambodia itself honestly. When we arrived we were greeted by the most friendly staff and a welcome drink. We came to learn throughout our stay

We were so lucky to stay at The Baby Elephant Boutique Hotel in June of 2018 for 3 nights. When I read the other reviews I thought that there was no way that a hotel this affordable could be so great, but it really was! The rooms are spacious and very clean with lovely little

Hi musicben, Thank you for your feedback. I remember you as a guest in our hotel. I remember greeting you at breakfast, at reception and in our waiting area. Every time we spoke you mentioned that everything was fine. I make it a point to greet all our guests however, many guests come to enjoy quiet and relaxing time. If I get the impression our guests are not very talkative I respect their time and give them their space. Thank you for your suggestions. Our 'VIP' table is meant for all and only named so for it's location, and all are guests are welcome to make use of it as such. I know that our staff do mention the turn the room sign in their opening introduction but I do understand their could be a language barrier where this can be lost in translation. We, at Baby Elephant, hire local drivers who we have vetted for safety, experience and professionalism. We take pride in having provided them an opportunity to support their families through their work with us. We allow them to station outside the hotel as a value add for our guests, should guests not wish to walk the short distance to downtown, Siem Reap. If there is ever a problem with one of our drivers, we are very open to feedback and would act discreetly and ensure your utmost comfort. As such if you would be so kind as to provide the name of the drivers in question by email to us, that would be helpful so we can review his/their training. I have joined Baby Elephant Boutique Hotel from the beginning of February and skills are currently being transferred. We do focus on up-skilling our staff too and are currently sending them all on an English course to improve communications with our western guests. Thank you again for your review and we wish you all the best. Kind regards

Hi WinstonV1, Thank you for your kind words and highlighting some of main enjoyments of your stay! We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. The cocktails are great, our barmen tend to have a tiny bit of a heavy hand but we are completely fine with that ;p We look forward to you visiting us again in the not to distant future. Kind regards,

Can you pay to use the pool without staying in the hotel?
I believe there were people just coming in during the day for lunch/drinks and to use the pool.

It's about 8 or 9km. And takes 20 mins on tuktuk

Hi there! Thanks Jubbly! That's right,. Google Maps says it is 17 minutes by car, so in tuk tuk a little longer between 20-25 minutes usually. The route from Baby Elephant to the airport is a straight shoot. There is rarely any traffic congestion as you don't have to cross the busy city centre.
